I have to say, the SEC looked pretty damn strong in week 1, but I was wondering which conference looked the worst?

I think the Pac and Big 12 both took it on the chin, but the OU performance lessens the sting for the Big 12.

Some of the low points:
Big 12
Texas loses to Maryland
TT loses to Ole Miss
Kansas loses to FCS school Nicholls

Pac 12
Oregon State crushed by Ohio State
Highest ranked Pac team loses opening weekend
Arizona loses to BYU
Chip's new era at UCLA starts with a loss to Cinci

Good point.

Living here in State College, I can say that APP state sobered up some of the fans here. I would think Mich State is in a similar position.

Pac12’s chances look diminished. UW might turn it around but I don’t see any other contenders.

I mean still probably the second or third best conference, but of the 5 top teams that were getting pre season love, only tOSU lived up to the hype.

Washington's loss wasn't that bad unless Auburn stinks up the rest of their games. Going on the road into Auburn's back yard and losing a close game is not the worst thing to have on your resume.

What will hurt the Huskies is that the rest of the conference looks pretty bad. Stanford is a perennial top 15 team that never really manages to do anything and USC has not shown they are back yet.

The Big 12 had a very mixed bag of results. The bad was very bad, but the goods were pretty good. Oklahoma, Okie State, maybe TCU, and West Virginia seem to be pretty good. The rest of the conference is a dumpster fire.

Not an awesome start for either conference but it was far worse for the PAC 12 because Washington is essentially in playoff mode from here on out. If they lose another game that conference is probably screwed.

Pac12 knew it had to prove something week 1 and it did not, but they were already trending down so I’d say no surprise there.

I would have to go with Big12.

Other than Oklahoma, what other hope do they have?

ACC could have a surprise team or 2, and BIG10 will pull a rabbit out their arse like always, but the Big12 had the most to lose by Texas not showing improvement and they shite the bed.

ACC.

Miami got bitch slapped by LSU
Louisville got the absolute shite beat out of them by Bama
UNC couldn't beat Cal.
VT destroyed FSU.

VT had the best win out all of the teams in the ACC but if you take that game away, the best wins has to be either Duke or NC State.

Big 12 has 3-4 teams that can be top 15 all year.
Big 10 has about 2-3
ACC has 2-3
Sec has 4-5
PAC has 1-2

I’d take OU, WVU, OSU, and TCU against any other conferences 4 deep right now, only one that would stack up overall would be the SEC

ACC. Texas A&M could send that entire conference into a deep depression by beating Clemson.

Give me Bama, UGA, AU, and LSU. A good defense beats a good offense everytime.
