Apparently not on campus at LSU. According to Rivals, he’s still considering UGA and Tennessee

It's not really feasible for him to go anywhere besides LSU or juco. He has to make the grades to get eligible before he can do anything football related and the clock has been ticking. Makes more sense to finish the summer classes and go right back into a program you are already familiar with instead of diving into a new situation.

I say all this as an extreme skeptic on whether the juice is worth the squeeze with Gilbert. I think he's got some mental issues that are very likely to cause locker room problems.

Another reminder that recruiting is an inexact science.

Coach Bryant......“The biggest mistake coaches make is taking borderline cases and trying to save them. I’m not talking about grades now, I’m talking about character. I want to know before a boy enrolls about his home life, and what his parents want him to be.”.....

According to Rivals, if he gets eligible, he’s leaving LSU.

He’s in Marietta

At this rate I’m not sure he’ll even play football anymore

He reminds me of that 5* running back from Houston a year or two back that committed and decommitted from like 5 or 6 different schools until everyone just pulled their offer because they realized how much of a head case he was I think he might have eventually went to ole miss but idek if he became eligible

Evans is working out for TCU pretty well. Ole Miss was the favorite for a minute with him.

We don’t know the details of what is happening, but from an outside POV I agree. I don’t know why we’re putting up with his drama

If his options are as limited as LSU fans say, there would be no reason for all of this nonsense.

Your ogre of a coach would publicly say he’s got a great team and Arik can be a part of it if he wants.

And that would be that.

Hope he gets it together wherever he goes. Kid has the chance to make the kind of money that will change his family tree.

Not how it works, transfer GPA needs to be a bit higher than merely being eligible GPA at LSU due to SEC/NCAA rules I believe.

Min eligibility GPA is 2.0.

To transfer to another SEC school with such little credit hours he needs a 2.3-2.5 range.

Right now he needs to finish 6 hours this summer and cumulative GPA of 2.0 just to play at LSU. Would have to do significantly more than that to transfer.

Minimum credit hours needed to simply be eligible in year 2 is 24 hours by end of this summer. So right now we know he has 18 completed/passed hours, needing the 6 more. We also know his GPA is somewhere below 2.0 at the moment. Whether that's a 1.8, 1.5, etc, is up for debate.

I can’t believe y’all would want a guy to play for you who can BARELY manage a 2.0 of hand picked easy af throw away trash classes.

The level of fricked it takes to not be able to pass the classes y’all are feeding this dude is astounding.
