In all seriousness, about where I thought.

I honestly thought Auburn would struggle. You lost a lot of players to the portal.....but you played Penn State (a top 10 team) tough and looked good doing it. My expectations for Auburn rose, honestly. I figured Auburn for a 6-6 year. Now? Maybe 8-4 with a chance to do better than that. If I were an Auburn fan I would count that as a huge win in a transition year.

I think 8-4 or 7-5 is pretty likely

Bama and Georgia are obvious losses

Past that, A&M, Ole Miss, and Auburn look like tossups. Glad we get Auburn at home.

Need to beat everyone else to make it a good season

I had 7-5 and haven’t seen much to change that in either direction.

Florida on paper is an L and I’ll stay with that.

Mizzou, UofSC, Vandy, S Bama are still solid Ws. That puts the bottom at 6-6 with a couple of toss ups. That leaves the UK game as the most likely 7th win or the Vols will need an upset.

Pretty good. While I don't think Emory is the long term answer due to being a limited passer I think the Bama game showed the offense can work well enough despite that. Hoping to see Richardson get his chance at some point.

Our schedule doesn't look too bad from here on out. Our toughest games left are LSU and UGA.

Defense looks better than last year and hopefully will continue to improve as our young secondary gains reps. Grantham actually made a meaningful adjustment vs Bama. Color me surprised.

I do think our ball control offense makes a bit more vulnerable to lesser teams this year. We will not be scoring as much and thus any sloppy game turnover prone game will leave us more exposed to upsets.

The UF lines on both sides of the ball impressed me. They played their asses off and pushed Bama around at times. That's where it all starts in the SEC so I think Florida has a lot to work with.

WLOCP gonna be yuuuge this year.

For sure, I think we knew we had the pieces at DL to be really solid this year but the OL has surprised everyone. OL has been trash for a few years now and we're still playing a bunch of 3 star project type guys.

Georgia will certainly be the true test for our OL.

One game at a time

I feel like we could finish 9-3 or 6-6. At least I am more optimistic today than I was last Friday.

We can run the ball and stop the run. Always a good combination. Our WRs are below average and we can’t tackle in space.
Can’t see us beating UGA with ground and pound

We’re right where I thought we would be as far as record goes. I didn’t expect us to be able to beat the Pedos, although I’m disappointed that we blew a lot of chances to pull it out.

Still looks like a 6-6 year to me. I’ll be happy with gradual improvement throughout the season.

Encouraged by the offense (We knew our WRs suck) and discouraged by the defense...Dead last in pass percentage completion against us. Ole Miss, Bama, etc. will kill us.

I really like Harsin. But question marks around the coordinators.

That’s where I am. It looked like Ted Roof and Malzahn were the coordinators Saturday night.

On the good side, the Olinemen looked much better than last year. If Bobo didn’t go full Gus and stuck with the run, Auburn wins that game. We have the best RB duo in the country, and Bo has no business throwing that much. He needs to understand that.

I still think 9-3 with hopefully a bowl win to get to 10.

I predict a lot of chaos this year. No team thus far has shown they are just head and shoulders above everyone else. I thought it was Bama after weeks 1 & 2 but they showed that they have weaknesses just like everybody else. (Probably a lot fewer than everyone else, but still...)

LSU either gets things turned around super quick or we are in for a world of pain the rest of the way. I could see us ending up with a floor of 6-6

Bama is about where I thought they would be. Young. Definitely a step back from last year. I expect 2 to 3 losses.

Ive said all along that I this isn’t Bama’s year. The next two should be amazing based on the last two recruiting classes.

Georgia looks about the way they have every season under Kirby: Good overall team capable of a 10 win season.
Defense front 7 is about as good as it gets but the secondary is lacking but the total defense is likely championship level.
The offense is not championship level. We haven't had a championship level QB since Matt Stafford. Our running backs aren't nearly as good as our previous generation of running backs aka Chubb, Gurley, Michel, etc. So without a championship level OL, our running game will get stuffed by top defenses. We don't have enough good tall receivers which is why our passing offense falls off when Pickens isn't on the field.
Championship level special teams.

Summary judgement: I give our team an overall grade of A but it takes an A+ to win a NC.

I stand, sadly, over the grave of Gamecocks 2021. While I should be thrilled at a 2-1 record, I feel as if the season should be put out of it's misery with the miserable performance of an inept offense and ineffective defense being exposed against the Red Clay Hounds of Athens this weekend passed.

Donations for stadium and facility upgrades and contract buyouts in lieu of flowers would be appreciated

We have a good chance to be 5-2 after the Vandy game, and just as good of a chance if not greater of a chance to be 4-3 or 3-4 after the Vandy game.

We're a good, but flawed, team. Going to need to improve on both sides as the season progresses to win any sort of championship.

Hope we do.
