The main issue is we really do not know how close or far away we truly are from the collectives of Ole Miss for example.
The issue is the "collectives" (edge) set up by Hunter Yurachek were fancy pyramid screens where the company running the collective took an increasing amount of money meaning the more that was raised the actual amount available remained largely unchanged.
Then you have the issue that all the NIL money from these collectives that fans thought was going solely for football was actually going into a general fund where Hunter and the athletic department distributed how they saw fit.
The NILnomics thread has what is available, but I guess this information is not FOIable or subject to external audits. Or no one is calling for one.
I get the feeling that if all the NIL donations were audited, where the donators thought the money was going, where it ended up, the audit would result in words like Ponzi Scheme, embezzlement, and Fraud being thrown around...
We only know that there was a budget set by Hunter for football and while Arkansas is dead last in football for NIL, they are at the very top of top half in literally everything else.
Most of the SEC is severely top heavy in their available NIL fundraising going to Football. So is it a money supply problem or is it a choice in the supply for football being limited
It doesn't add up because the collective was said to meet their 25Mil goal they were bragging about, plus however much match they were bragging about, then you had talks about how Tyson, Hunt, etc didn't realize how underfunded football was moving NIL contributions from other sports to football. With all of this info coming from Hunter, the math says there should be more avaialble than 25 mil being reported, so where did the money go Hunter?
Not if this is a conscience effort to win in everything but football, then this need to be said out loud and National Championships need to be delivered in the everything else.

Obviously reading isn’t your strong suit.
Let me guess, you want Saban?

Normally, when someone writes a fairly long post, it’s a bunch of jibberish and jumbled up hogwash. This one, on the other hand, was quite well thought out and raises a LOT of legitimate questions and/or concerns. Kudos.
I think this one paragraph says a lot…
It certainly seems like those could be legitimate concerns considering what we’ve been told vs what we’ve seen with our own eyes.
I’m certainly not up on my FOI laws, but it seems to me this type of stuff should be fair game.
There’s definitely something fishy in Denmark with all of this.

No I said about 10x we should go after Bob Chesney, but I think we are past that. Will probably have to go after a hot coordinator. Like a Glenn Schulmann, and then try to find a mercenary of an OC for him.

I said since he resigned Sam that Hunter was more worried about the directors cup than he is with winning in football. That looks great on a resume when the playoffs or championships aren’t even remotely guaranteed based on how much you pay. Everything he has done has been based on enriching himself or making himself look better. Didn’t resign Kendall because he wanted more money, turned around signed a larger more money contract for himself. This all comes to getting rid of Hunter. Also need to get rid of anyone on the BOT that allowed this to happen.

This is enough that any competent place would have sent him packing. And this is ultimately why he’s still here. Because our fricking stupid BoT won’t just admit he was a fail of a hire and accept that PC Load Letter needs to get figuratively thrown out of the car and smashed with baseball bats. They’re seriously too dumb to just throw him under the bus - which he has more than earned.

At this point it’s obvious that their stupid asses all did. Get rid of them as well - bunch of fricking lesser sons of greater sires.

I’d be alright with that.
Point is, I think we need to think outside the box. If you can get a home run you take it, otherwise gambling on a random middleweight G5 coach isn’t gonna get the job done

As bad as the football program is I wouldn't be surprised if those dip shits were dipping their hand in the piggy bank.

When you donate to NIL you choose what sport it goes to, it's not a general fund. That's why donations for basketball and baseball are on the same level combined as football is because people choose to donate to those programs as much if not more than football.
You can go to our NIL donation fund HERE and choose the one time NIL payment and see the drop down box to choose the sport to support.
This is why I said it's gotta be really hard for most fans to choose football these days versus supporting basketball or baseball where your donation might legitimately contribute to a national championship. Who the hell is choosing football right now or recently or going forward over those sports?

It really feels like they could spice up the perks for some of those annual/monthly memberships

I know about the drop down menu.
Did you know that at certain Walmarts in Arkansas the self check out screen prompts an option to round up or make a donation to the Razorback foundation?
Of course not because communication from the administration has been a continuous issue.
Unless your last name is Tyson or Hunt, Hunter decides how/if/when your donation will be used.

I believe donating directly to the foundation is different than directly to the NIL partner. One is generic and what you said AD or whoever chooses where that money goes, and the NIL collective is handled by thelinku and Front Office. People just need to make sure they donate to the right spot.
quote:
When you choose a specific sport (e.g., Men's Basketball or Softball), your money is legally and operationally restricted to the NIL fund for that sport only. The Athletic Director or the Front Office cannot take money you gave to Softball and use it to buy a Football transfer quarterback.
quote:
While the money stays within your chosen sport, the Front Office and the coaches decide which individual players get paid and how much.
• You cannot choose a specific athlete to give your donation to through the general donation page.
• The Arkansas Front Office uses TheLinkU's software to simulate roster budgets, manage the "salary cap," and draft the contracts.
• The money is pooled together for that sport, and the staff allocates it to recruit or retain players based on team needs.

Yes two different things.
The foundation is what pays for coaches and the lasers.
Hunter was all butthurt about NIL donations taking away from foundation donations, but never promoted or advertised that soemthing simple like rounding up could be done at the checkout line to donate to the foundation.
Silverfield and DVH have both made statements about money being taken away from their NIL pool.
Last year it was DVH complaint about money being taken from baseball. Hunter confirmed later that money was taken from other areas and put into football to bring it to "top half of the sec".
Silverfield made comments that the money he raised was not put into the budget he was given and he doesn't know where the money went.
Now you can make the argument that this is all based off of the old edge program that saw half the proceeds going to the company who ran it and with the new collective the drop down menu keeps Hunters hands out of the cookie jar. This new collective is less than year old, so maybe this is part of the reason why a new collective had to be started, the difference between edge and link woulnt been seen until the end of this season.
My point is if Arkansas athletics were so cash strapped instead of having an AD shouting as loud as possible about how broke they are, you would expect them to advertise and promote every way possible to raise every penny possible.
Unless Hunter thinks it makes him look better finishing so high in the directors cup for a school with so little, I do not understand the logic. Outside of self promotion I do not see the strategy.
