Yeah, not all OU posters are mental midgets but there are quite a few. Honestly we don’t have anything to say. Up 23 at half and score only 3 the rest of the way and looked terrible on both sides of the ball. Do that in the SEC and we’ll get our asses beaten every week. Lots of concern on our end. Riley said they weren’t right mentally coming out at half. One, that’s a bullshite excuse and two, that falls on Mr. Riley’s shoulders so what does that say about him and his halftime speeches. Please don’t label al of us off a few really loud retards. Most of us are looking forward to the SEC move but a lot needs to change quickly if we want to be competitive.

This is the absolute truth. To come out of the game with a win was pure luck and we’re fortunate for it. One can only hope this wakes this team up, but someone has to tell Rattler throwing off your back foot in triple coverage is fricking illogical at best. This game is where they should have been rotating players to get a feel. They better have their shite together by Nebraska or this season will be like every other the past decade. Decent talent but can’t put away a lesser team and take a beating in a game they should have won.

The only thing worse than ok barely beating #70 (MASSEY RATING) Tulane is aggy beating their chests over beating #108 (MASSEY RATING) Kent St.

Yeah, not a lot of that. Happy we won and covered. Some bright spots for sure. Still nothing to get excited about with 5 TO's and letting a MAC team hang around until the early 3rd Quarter. Need to get better for sure but looking at the teams around us in the Top 10 not named Bama I'll take it.

Sooners should be nervous though. Rattler did not look like the Heisman winner we have been told he would be and the OU Defense was Charmin soft. Most of all it looked like Tulane was playing stronger at the end and that is not what you want. Fortunately for you guys the rest of the B12 looks like a joke as usual, the pumping up of Iowa State was certainly exposed.

Nice. Just got back from 10 days of fishing in the Canadian wilderness myself. Always good to get away. Just surprised to not see any talk from Sooners after the last month of hearing about how OU has building great defense and is going to walk into the SEC as Bama's equal and continue win 11+ games every year.

Rattler got benched last year making those kinds of stupid mistakes then got better after that. I'm hoping the same happens here. Like CS said, this can be a good thing. They drank the media Kool-Aid all summer long and it showed.
As for the D, I take the blame. I was in Key West a couple of weeks ago and befriended some SEC folks (one said he played for Bama back in the day) and all I did was talk about how our D is improved and the bowl game against Florida showed it. I jinxed us and I won't do it again.

we have all been here. I’m sure as soon as you get on, you get all giggly creating this thread without doing any research. Your thread is a failure.

I’ve been noodling all day here in eastern Ok. I was on last night. Noodling is definitely an OK thing, it’s a good time.

Game was scarily reminiscent of Kstate and Iowa State last year… up big and then choke in the last quarter. At least this one was a W. It’s easy to overreact to a bad week 1, but there’s definitely a lot of warning signs. Next 3 games are pretty easy, so there’s times to make corrections. We will find out in October if this team is for real or a pretender.

The offseason is over, no need to post here, we are not in the SEC yet and have no skin in the game. The topics are now and should be about SEC games and results.

Actually if you were paying attention they were doing exactly that. Riley even mentioned that it may have had something to do with them never getting into a groove. But he also took the blame.

Played like crap outside of the second quarter, rotated and cleared the benches too soon and almost paid for it.

I didn’t type that correctly. By this game I meant Western Carolina. Tulane wasn’t the time or place, especially when both offensive and defense started to fall off

I don't think anyone is saying we are Bama's equal.

I only talk sh** against A&M and Missouri fans because their teams have always been mediocre yet they think that SEC patch makes them good.

Lots of teams looked like trash in the opening game. Only Alabama has anything to brag about

A&M is a much better team than OU. OU is probably going to lose to K-State yet again.

You literally left your shitty conference behind because A&M was out-recruiting you.

I think our record last year, top 4 finish, and the fact that we've won our last 8 games going back to last year by double digits (against 6 SEC teams and a highly ranked Mack Brown coached NC team), and #6 ranking to start this season, makes us pretty good at the moment.

Caleb Williams should be starting over Rattlers sorry arse. And our Oline and defense better get it going quick if we’re gonna compete for a playoff spot.
