Took the Tejas job I really thought he would win a national championship in 2 to 3 seasons. Now I’m not sure if he’s gonna get one. I’m not sure he has the organizational skills that it takes to win one these days.

I think the problem Sark has had at Texas this year is the offensive line never panned out for him. Seems like I remember hearing that Texas spent a lot bringing in portal players on the line this year and they just never have put it together. That is a problem around college football this season though. I have not seen a great line this year in college football.

2009 Washington 5–7
2010 Washington 7–6
2011 Washington 7–6
2012 Washington 7–6
2013 Washington 8–4
2014 USC 9–4
2015 USC 3–2[c]

Why is anyone shocked that he's not getting it done at Texas?

Texas has the same problem A&M does. Too much money coming from too many meddlers.

“Friday Night Lights” on steroids.

A good AD should shield the coaches from these LARPers.

Nailed it. It’s not a Sark problem. It’s a Texas problem. It’s why Nick Saban turned it down.

Texas had a chance to win NC in 2023. Effed it all up against Washington.

What do you mean not gettin it done ? Only FBS team to go to playoffs two years in a row and a conference regular season record of 12-3 . No other SEC team has done that in the past two years, and that is his first two years in the SEC.

The guy has not one but 2 nicknames.
He had some success working under the Goat after that.
It wasn't his success.

2021 Texas 5–7
2022 Texas 8–5
2023 Texas 12–2
2024 Texas 13–3
2025 Texas 8–3

He's about to be 8-4 with a loss to aTm.

I think the reason for this is he is just looking for “big humans” as he calls them. What you can see this season is they don’t evaluate technique very good as is evident by the number of penalties they get. Sark and his staff need to make sure they are not just big but can actually play football correctly. I’m ready fo the Sarknado show to be over but it looks like theres always another year of it.

I think Sark is a very good play caller, and probably a great play caller when he has the GOAT on his ear keeping him from getting too cute.

IMO he must give up play calling duties, hire an OC and be the fricking head coach, so we don't go into a season with a sieve at OL, decimated RB room, and make lazy hires like Duane Akina who's got our DBs playing 15 years off their man.

I thought Sarkisian was the coach the horns had been looking for since they retired Mack Brown and the results seemed to bear this out.

As the preseason #1 the pressure to take things to the next level was intense but I reasoned Sarkisian had things under control and at least they will do as well as the last two seasons not the two before.

They could still finish out with only 3 losses to go 10-3 but the play on the field in 2025 and we all saw it was a step back.

A growing number of the fan base would welcome a change at HC knowing it isn't going to happen till after next season at the earliest.

It was premature to float the story he was looking at the NFL and I believe he would be in way over his head but he could go pro as an OC.

Gee if only there was evidence of his HC abilities.

Dudes a great OC, not a great HC. Happens all the time

You bring up 2023 yet ignore having 1st and goal from the 1 vs the eventual champ. Take away the dumbass blitz call before the half and Texas wins last year
