I can't think of a single good reason to play at Syracuse.

FTM, How many SEC teams have ever traveled to Seattle to play Washington ??? Or Wisconsin at Lambeau Field ??? But actually, Bama has played some good OOC games in the last decade - UCLA, Penn State, Clemson, West Virginia, Tulane (j/k). I know I'm forgetting some. This is what I try to get across to those Yankee and Left Coast buffoons on that national site - the SEC has played some very good OOC games in the last decade. In some cases, we play two in one year (e.g. WVU and Oregon in 2011).... Plus we have upcoming series against the afore-mentioned UCLA, Texas, and Ariz State; but I know we're not the only SEC team playing good OOC games.

Neutral site= more $$$$...plain and simple.

How dare Alabama keep scheduling games in recruiting deathbeds like Dallas and Atlanta. It might be the dumbest thing to ever do in sports! We really do need to go to the recruiting hotspots like Syracuse, Morgantown, Seattle, Manhattan (KS), Boulder, Tempe, and Eugene like other SEC schools are doing. We might be able to start pulling in #1 recruiting classes then!

The Carrier Dome will be an intense atmosphere. How will LSU deal with the crowd noise?

Would love to play an Eastern power as an opener in the Carrier Dome...problem is the place doesn't hold but 49,000 folks.....plus there aren't any eastern powers!

This thread is awesome.
And to pretend this is a serious thread, it boils down to two things:
Money and exposure for recruiting in talent rich states.
I think all Bama fans would rather play Whisky in Lambeau than Dallas. But money talks, and Jerry has a lot of it. Personally, I'd love to see a game against FSU in Orlando, Tampa, or Miami. Screw Jacksonville.

Seriously LSU needs to watch out for the Cuse this year. Their three wins last year were against powerhouses 1-AA Villanova (in OT), Central Michigan and Wake Forest. Are LSU fans worried? The Cuse is no cake walk. I know I am much happier we are playing Wisconsin in Dallas rather than the Cuse in the Carrier Dome aka Deaf Dome. Why did the LSU administration schedule a suicide mission like this?

I would like to see an Oregon/Bama home and home just like we did with Tennessee. Doubt it happens in the near future since so much would be at stake.

Some of the know it alls on Rivals are saying Bama/FSU in ATL is in the works for 2017.

May not be? Let's clear that up. Syracuse is NOT a national power. They aren't a power in their own conference either.

Auburn has gone up there at some point in the 2000's.
Let's not act like "going up their" is a big deal. They play in a dome, dude. You get no credit for a cold weather game.

you are forgetting Va Tech when they were #5, but thank you (legitimately) for giving credit where due

that stuff is for wannabe programs. bama don't have to!

Biggest question is when is LSU going to beat Bama again. I'd worry. About that first.

Neutral sites:
North Carolina in Atl, Oregon in Dallas, TCU in Dallas, Wisconsin in Houston.
(At Syracuse this year, Wisconsin at Lambeau next year.)
I stand corrected. So 1 more than us in that span.

State did in 1986 and whooped that tail.

its really sad but bama no longer plays home-n-home other than sec. one neutral site game and three cupcakes. it really cheats the players out of getting to play in some great places too. as a bama fan it cheats me too out og great matchups.
