Since LSU fans started to act like whiny little bitches anytime a ref steps on the field. They've had their fun in Sumlin's era of soft style football but they fixin to hate us a lot more in the coming years. /rant

In all seriousness though the two teams are geographically integrated with Houston being the primary hot bed for both LSU and A&M grads. There's a natural Texas vs Louisiana culture clash that I'm sure most of us that grew up in the two states have experienced in some degree outside the world of college ball. It's a decent natural *rivalry* but A&M is going to need to turn over more W's if the game is going to catch any kind of national attention. Although it's understandable that LSU would prefer that does not happen.

Not as bad as it sucked for you guys losing one of the only two games you could sell out. Sorry we didn’t want to help you keep your dirty program afloat

Probably already posted, but the animus is not reality. Aggies are good people and very hospitable at their games to LSU fans.

I know b/c I live amongst them in a sea of maroon and semen jars.

ATM misses daddy Texas

You realize that atm-Texas provides us the largest inferiority complex ever seen? Aggy is a sporty, scrappy little brother. But they DO NOT miss the burnt orange.

Anyone within earshot of Aggy rolls their eyes when Aggy tearfully laments the days where the longhorn touched him inappropriately. They mention everything too.

“You don’t want to be in their conference”
“They have too much money”
“THey have too much power”
“You don’t want anything to do with Texas”
“We sent more men to war than they did. They just sat around and drank tea”

This kind of conversation can go on for hours if the other party allows it. They usually don’t.
“Hey, I have to go to the bathroom, hold my seat, Don’t come with me or we will lose our spot at the bar. Stay here.” Aggy looks around, marking other unwilling participants if this one doesn’t come back like the last few. sips drink for 7 minutes and remembers that the yell boyz don’t take this long to pee. Realizes he’s been conversation-duped again.

It’s been said before. But Texas is Bill and atm is Hatori Hanzo, where he writes bills name on the window and then looks deathly ill, then walks away.

Folks, it’s THAT bad. So no you’re wrong. They 100% don’t want to be involved with longhorn. They do not miss longhorn.

We’ve played a lot outside the SEC before they joined

There was a moderate amount of animosity between us from the jump

They tried to rope us into their Thanksgiving Rivalry game BS

Hired Chavis away (fricking LOL)

Global warming is causing swamp levels to rise and it is beginning to spill over into texas near A&M. It has caused quite the ruckus.

LSU pulled the most chicken shite move in the history of college football when they backed out of our series because their coach and Athletic Director knew they couldn’t build a winning program starting 0-1 every season. And they wouldn’t even pay the fee for breaking the contract early.

What’s sad is that it embodies everything about their program and their fans. They are perfectly okay with that decision. It doesn’t speak poorly of their character, it is their character.

I was at A&M from 89-93.

It was always a grudge mtch and it seemed to get more so as the years went on.

My first game in Kyle, first game of the season, we scored on the opening kickoff against LSU. THAT WAS FUN.

They are a natural rival with so many coming into TX for oil. Proximity breeds contempt.

I will say despite the asshattery that goes on here every LSU person I know is solid and most can put on a mighty fine tailgate.

LSU would have kicked A&M’s asses those following years. You guys benefitted when we backed out.

Due to the oil and gas industry there are a lot of Aggies in Louisiana and a lot of LSU in Houston. Fan bases overlap a lot. IRL they get along real well. Not so much on this board.

From the Aggie side I can say we support it because it helps us with the fight we REALLY care about.

I will never forget years ago when a Texas fan was bragging to me about how they UPGRADED on Thanksgiving because they would play TCU instead of us, and how I responded "hey that's cool, we got a new setup too playing LSU that weekend." The jealousy and butthurt was so thick I could have cut it with a butter knife.
