Missouri makes the CFP

Neither Arch Manning nor Garrett Nussmeier end up being top three QBs in the SEC this season. One will be a first year starter with first year starter yips and the other will be running for his life.

DeBoer is actually an above average coach

Auburn and Florida both have a winning season.

ACC and Big 12 will be up. Might still cannibalize, but they have a bunch of QBs that can play and the #1 and #2 teams in the country in terms of returning production are playoff teams from those conferences (Clemson and ASU).
Clemson might be a legitimate Natty contender if their DL is all its made out to be.

Ohio State lost a ton of people. New QB, new everything. I’d rather play them week one than week 12. Catch them breaking in a new team basically.

I think Auburn beats one of the two.
Me too. If my life depended on it, I'd pick Bama.

It's been 12 years since AU has gone a season without losing to either team. Gonna be a tall order for 2025 as well I suspect.
All it takes is a couple miracles like last time

It is almost like they have been paying for that deal with the Devil since then.

If so they’ve got a long way to go for make up for that season. I was convinced Dyer was scoring on the Hail Mary screen against FSU

This is exactly where I am. Once Labor Day weekend comes around and there are real games on, it’s fun again, but right now in the depths of the offseason all I hear about is realignment this, TV contract that, expand the playoff this, 4 autobids for the SEC this, super league that, not even mentioning the NIL/transfer portal stuff.
Also it really sucks what happened to Oregon State and Washington State, their entire athletic departments even beyond football were sabotaged because some suits in boardrooms didn’t view their football “brands” as valuable for television audiences as Oregon’s, Washington’s, USC’s, UCLA’s, etc. The death of the Pac-12 really soured me on CFB as a whole, as well as the exclusion of Florida State from the 2023 playoff. Those two things, in my mind, officially ended the era of the Power 5, and ushered in the era of the Power 2, SEC and B1G. In that playoff, 2 SEC teams, Bama and Texas, and 2 B1G teams, Washington and Michigan. FSU being left out of the playoff was the big corporate suits at ESPN telling us that they don’t value the ACC at all, that there’s no such thing as Power 4/5 anymore, it’s only Power 2 now with massive consolidation of power and influence within the SEC and B1G.
It feels like these days it’s more important to win in the boardroom, in the business meetings than win games on the field. And that sucks for us fans because we obviously care first and foremost about the games on the field, we could give a shite less about TV ratings and media rights deals and all that stuff.
I’m pretty young so maybe it’s always been this way and I’m only noticing it more now that I’m grown, but I just don’t like the vibes of it at all these days.

Diego Pavia drags his nuts across the entire Alabama defenses faces yet again in route to another historic Vandy win or Bama.
