Kids today didn't get to experience how damn mean Nebraska was back in the day. Them, OU and Texas were so hard to beat

Were you around for 2014 MState v Auburn? That was a huge win. I'd say top 3 all time

I remember I was on the riverwalk in San Antonio visiting the day of the 2000 TX/OU game. Kind of on the fringe or when we had capabilities to track games on phones, etc. Found someone in my group and asked if he knew how the game came out, told me 63-14 and I didn't believe him. Have to remember that was the first of the three of so severely lopsided Stoops over Brown games - so to hear that without having seen the game I was calling BS. Proceeded to go into a sports bar to see the 'lowlights'. That OU team was something that year, absolutely dismantled the Big 12 week in and week out. As I remember it wasn't even that talented a team on paper, maybe barely ranked preseason if I remember, but man they gelled into a cohesive unit.

1991 SECCG vs Bama. The famous SEC Sleeping Giant finally was awoke.

Historically: UK 13, OU 7
Personal fav: UK 43, LSU 37 in three OTs. I had no voice after that.

January 2nd, 1956, #10 Ole Miss beats #6 TCU in the Cotton Bowl. Ole Miss had a great season up until that game, and this win signified the Ole Miss football program’s ascension from a good team to a national contender.
From 1955 through 1962, Ole Miss posted a record of 74-10-2, won 6 out of 7 bowl games, and was awarded the (shared) national title in 1960. Easily the best stretch in our program’s history that began with the 1956 Cotton Bowl.

One of the greatest games ever played. Combined, they had 53 wins in a row. Both teams were absolutely loaded
And I had to be up at 4 am. Worth it.

The correct answer for Florida is the 1997 Sugar Bowl obliteration of FSU.

Our win over Nebraska in 2000. It elevated a program that was a complete joke two years earlier into a national power. (It also underscored that our beat down of Texas was not a fluke.)
I lived in Oklahoma at that time, it was amazing how quickly Stoops turned that team around...Seemed like he moved players around all over the team to different positions until he found the spots they were best at...That team was loaded up pretty good before he got there, they just had not been developed.
Blake had a good eye for talent just couldn't coach worth a crap.

Doesn't matter that it was almost 100 years ago. That's the game that started the Bama train and really what would become SEC football rolling.

I love how the article says a win for the south not a win for Alabama.
I think that really shows how much the south put their pride into football post civil war

I went to the '99 OU/TX (yes OU goes first) game and sat in the Texas section. We had a 17 point lead then Texas came storming back.
An older UTx fan told me as we were walking out that OU finally has a good coach and once they get rid of the gimmicky offense they will be a good team.
Was a bit of a backhanded compliment. Would have loved to have had a conversation with him post 2000.

2007 vs. undefeated Kansas
As an SEC team, it’s 2013 vs. A&M to give us the East title at 11-1

It depends on which side your loyalty lies..
It is Texas OU or OU Texas..
Anyways, that 1999 game wasn’t the only one like that if I remember correctly.. OU got up big in some other games too.. That told me that they were pretty good if they could figure out how to hold onto that lead, or even push it bigger.
Turns out that in 2000, one year later, they figured that out pretty good. Unfortunately I was at that 2000 game and it was a bloodbath.
I was there in 2003 as well for that 65-13 massacre. In not one of my proudest moments, the group I was with left the game to go drink and play at the fair, but I was fricking staying until the end. I could barely see straight with whiskey flowing through my veins.. There were about 10 Texas fans left on our side, so I worked my way to first row behind the OU bench and started yelling at Tommie Harris, calling him a traitor because he left Texas to go across the Red River. He thought it was pretty funny.. and just had to point at the scoreboard.. and there wasn’t much that I could say.. but I kept running my mouth. Afterwards, I almost got arrested at the fair for being a drunken jackhole.. I think I passed out at like 6:00 pm.. if not sooner. But I do remember that Vince had some monster runs in that game.. and that is as when we all knew that he was going to be great for Texas.. that was his coming out party, despite the lopsided loss.

Man y'all meant business in 2013.
2013 was a strange year. Mizzou and SCAR were the best teams in the East.
