Heupel won't fix OU's problems. I'd be more worried if they talked someone like Gary Patterson into being a head coach again and hired him. Patterson never had the type players he could recruit at OU when he was at TCU and still kicked butt. He would turn OU around in 1 year.

No offense to any of those outside of Texas, but one of the best things about living here is that you can get real Mexican food that is twice as good as any of those places for half the price in almost any town.

Real Mexican food? Lmao! Tex Mex is damn good, but not real Mexican Food...If you want real, authentic Mexican Food, you need to go to New Mexico or Arizona...If Mexicans ate Tex Mex their whole life, they'd all be bigger than the Good Year Blimp and have heart attacks by the time they are 30...Tex Mex is like the Americanized cheeseburger or pizza of Mexican Food.
Jimbo is Mack Brown Lite. I say Lite because Mack actually had way more wins, but it took an amazing, maybe once in a lifetime player at QB to get them both Titles.

If not for Vince Young, I'm not sure Mack ever gets a title at Texas and he had recruited some amazing talent up until around 2009-10. He may have had a shot with Colt McCoy, but VY was such a stud, he refused to let them lose, and Mack and Greg Davis almost screwed up VY by not letting him play his game at first..

I'm not saying Jameis Winston is on the same level as VY as a college QB, but without him I doubt Jimbo ever wins a Title at Florida State...I don't know if any QB has ever been on the same level as VY in College. He was Cam Newton on steroids..Had he stayed at Texas his senior year, they probably would have had another Title.

Add to that, Aggy is cursed and always has been...

You really think Texas will come in and clean up SEC officiating? Welcome to the hope of every team when there is a new commissioner hired.

There are 13, soon to be 15, schools not named Alabama in the SEC. Why dont you all ever vote to replace the officials? Always find this so weird.

Bama has always been "Big Daddy", but now they are about to be in a conference with 2, if not 3, richer schools that bring the $$$ and fanbases, if the other blue blood schools in the SEC choose to ban together then they can force change...You think any SEC commish wants to lose some cash cows from the conference over BS homer officiating crews?
That non safety call was weird. I think the refs got it right after totally screwing it up...My only gripe there is it doesn't seem like they reviewed it to see if Young's shin was down before he even rolled over the defender and threw the pass. That was pretty close.

The only 2 non calls that really irked me was a blatant PI by Bamas defender in the End zone in the 1st quarter that everyone saw and the facemask on Texas Running back that was blatant and twisted him around in the open field, how do they miss that?

The hit on Ewers that took him out wasn't dirty, just unfortunate...

I would of settled for the indisputable safety that wasn’t called.

Or the missed facemask call down by the goal line on Texas running back.

An ironic post coming from the fanbase that gets protected all the time in their in-conference games.

Referee celebrates Texas football touchdown vs Colorado

You apparently haven't watched Big 12 football lately. That same crew that fricked up the Texas/BAMA game hosed Texas last year against OU too with questionable calls/ non calls. They literally let an OU receiver run himself out of bounds and come back in and make a crucial catch to keep OU in the game.

Welcome to the SEC. You just received lesson one in who runs this conference.

Dude you got no ideal yet...Texas, A&M, and OU have the $$$ to take over, and if refs keep fricking them over in favor of BAMA their admins will ban together and put your backwoods directional school in it's place...You aint seen shite yet..

Screw BAMA, everyone can pay players now, you been getting away with that shite for years and everyone knows it. It's a different world now..

This is the kind of shite Texas fans say when they have forgotten the arse beatings of last season

Fair enough. They are absolutely loaded at WR, Xavier Worthy might be the best wide receiver in College right now, and they picked up a couple of other really good receivers besides Hall...But, you got to have a QB to deliver the ball and an Oline to protect the QB. Both pretty much sucked last season...If they get that fixed this season, they are going to roll like a big badass bus on offense.

LINK

We are absolutely desperate for a LB who can take a proper angle to the ball and an edge rusher who can get a sack but we are fine at WR.

No joke, they could send this kid packing and not miss a beat in the WR room with the guys they have on campus now...They are loaded at Wide Receiver and Running Back moreso than any other positions.

He better get right, if he gets a second chance from Sark, I doubt he will get a 3rd chance anywhere...

I’m still trying to figure out how the Aggies secured the greatest recruiting class in NCAA history last year to where they are this year.

They got them last year the same way Biden got 81 million votes..

They can't stop athletes from making money, just saying they need something to regulate how schools can entice players with the use of NIL. I don't think any talk of money or NIL deals should be involved with recruiting. That stuff should only come after a player has signed a letter of intent with a school..

I honestly don't see how that's even legally enforceable. I know people "want" it because they still live in the fantasy world where players aren't getting paid for their work and are student athletes earning their degree and playing football part time (lulz), but it's simply not how jobs and contracts in the real world work. If I want to entice Lebron James to come to Cleveland, are you going to cry foul if you're the Miami Heat? Why do people think it should be different for a young adult?

These athletes aren't an employee of the school, and are not getting paid by the school for their services. If they get NIL money, it comes from the Boosters, not the school. So, if they want to play for the schools team, coaches, and get an education at the school, then NIL and money talk should be left out when they are just being recruited...Boosters should not even come into play until they are signed..

If high school kids want to get an ideal of what kind of NIL money they can expect, then they can talk to the athletes already signed with the school...

What is hilarious coming from socialist UT fan is Austin is a safe haven for all of the people he talked about. In fact, that is one reason why all these California people (and companies) are moving to Austin Texas and screwing up our great state - LIBS.

They are moving everywhere because they fricked up their own state..

I dislike what NIL is doing to CFB as much as anyone else but what grounds does the government have to get involved with this? These players are presumably tax-paying adults making contractual agreements with other adults.

I don't see how the Feds can regulate NIL. College football needs to come up with a governing body to regulate NIL if the NCAA is not willing to make rules and enforce them...

We been dealing with your shite for ages… always wanting be a OU or Texas but failing. It’s why your ad cried on national tv when he found out we coming LOL ****s

Wasn't it rumored back in the day that it was someone from A&M that turned in OU to the NCAA over paying players for no work at the Big Red Sports and Imports car dealership in Norman? Now A&M is handing out bags of cash like candy...

That glitter is just the Sun reflecting off all the trash in that landfill called L.A..Last time I drove through it on the Freeway, it seemed like driving through a landfill...Trash everywhere along the freeway. It's like everything else the DEMs get control of and turn to complete shite.

Cough, Cough, bullshite!
Colt McCoy, Jordan Shipley, Major Applewhite.

There are still rules and the Aggies don’t seem capable of following them. It is a major violation to pay players or promise to pay players to come to your school. Once the player is signed and on the team NIL opens the door to money. Not before
No top notch player would go to that hell hole in Texas without being promised a truckload of money. I’ve seen the place and witnessed their lewd culture and if I were a recruit it would take many many millions and still I’d hold my nose.

The problem with Aggie is they think they are a blue blood, and now that they are all SEC SEC SEC the NCAA won't touch them. Yet, they are the poster child for the type of school the NCAA would go after in the SEC to set an example; especially, if the powers that be at BAMA are complaining..Soon they will piss off the Blue Bloods of the other conferences too and everyone will be after the NCAA to make an example out of them..What happens then Aggies? I bet Jimbo will pull a Pete Carroll and not stick around to find out what happens..LOL! It will be sweet, sweet, sweet watching their fanbase meltdown...

Yes everyone knows the kids are making money, just like everyone knows the NCAA’s existence is holding on by a thread.

The court says they can make money no matter what you envious racist’s think

They can make money as long as they are on the team and the school follows state laws...I think A&M skipped both of those steps last year and went straight to paying them with no contract and only a verbal commitment..
