He's trying to boost his name up in the RNC for future campaigns. That's why he's meddling with Greenland and dickriding everything MAGA. I think he's as slimy as they come, but he has been producing results here in Louisiana. As long as he doesn't shite the bed like Bobby Jindal did his 2nd term trying to make a presidential bid, I'd vote for him again.

Moscona posted a report detailing what went on during his interview with Landry in the middle of the "kick out LSU" nonsense. He said that during each commercial break Landry was firing away questions trying to find out what was going on. Moscona said it was clear that Landry was totally in the dark about everything.
People are mistaking Landry running his mouth to actually having unusual influence over the school and the program. Yeah, he did speak up last season, but there were a lot of people who wanted Kelly and Woodward gone, and if there wasn't booster support for those moves it wouldn't have mattered what Landry wanted because the state is not on the hook for the buyouts.
As far as Space X goes, Landry's biggest contribution was not getting in the way. That site has everything Space X needs (very rural, easy access to natural gas and other energy sources via pipeline, ability to launch west/east and north/south orbits). It's the only site in the entire continental US that has all of those qualities.

LSU is the flagship university for the state and brings in more money than the Saints.
LSU runs a high profile athletic program where all their head coaches in the big 4 sports are nationally recognized. They run in the black.
Sankey and the SEC are still trying to make all this about LSU, but have not cited a documented incident of LOIC in regards to the football team. All the have is “someone said, I heard”.
None of that will win in any court. Only the hardcore contrarians and trolls refuse to recognize this.
SEC appealed the ruling in secret for a reason. They wanted the expected loss to also be secret.
Their Federal Court case is actually weaker and will probably be dismissed with the SEC having to reimburse LSU for legal expenses.

No one from LSU can speak out publicly against the SEC. There are large fines attached and other penalties.
Our Governor is not bound by this so we have elected officials speaking out.
If this was Georgia or any other school in our shoes, your elected officials would be speaking out because they are the only ones that could.

Governor Landry is AWESOME. Brought SPACE X to south Louisiana, and a new Hyundai plant is being built around the BTR area, also. No governor has brought this many jobs to Louisiana. Avoid all the Liberal Lunatic chatter.

Speak for yourself. The guy revamped LSU and brought in hundreds of billions of dollars in investments to Louisiana. Done more than any gov in last 20 or 30 years

You need good schools for companies to invest though. It is difficult to invest in a state with a very bad education system because potential hires see that and steer clear. I was with Lowe's corporate many years ago and saw it first hand. They ended up moving their corporate HQ from North Wilkesboro to Mooresville because the Wilkes County schools were so bad they couldn't get the caliber of people they wanted to hire to relocate. Fortunately in that case it was more localized to the county versus the state as a whole.

The GA AG spoke about upholding legal action against LSU when he had no standing and when he had no idea that LSU was not a party to the Pyburn v. NCAA lawsuit that the SEC decided to stick it's nose into.
The LA AG submitted an amicus brief in the Pyburn lawsuit and got named as a defendant in the SEC v LSU lawsuit as a result.
So, yeah, these things aren't the same.

I’m speaking athletics and in the sports news. I will readily admit I don’t watch the news much because it all just seems like trash. I do remember something in the past where Purdue academics was talked about but that’s it. I went to IU but don’t really pay attention to academics or anything else because the school is very liberal. Either way I just found it interesting being in the sports news so much.

He is an AG in a state where the flagship university would be impacted by the matter. It is certainly within the realm of reason he would have an opinion on the matter and state it as it was a well known topic with interest among his constituents. You should worry more about QB play than legal matters anyway.

You mentioned 1 governor out of how many Louisiana has had. So it’s not normal. Normal means it’s happens quite often than not. jBE, Bobby Jindal , Kathleen blanco, Edwin edwards, and Mike foster has never been this involved with lsu athletics. And if they did, it was behind closed doors.
