This is a different perspective on the whole narrative and makes a ton of sense. Welcome to the SEC.
Appreciate it.

The welcome has certainly been... less than warm lol. But I think when the dust settles and we're just a part of the conference as competitors in 2022 or '23 (whether that's 1/16 or 1/20 when the time comes), hopefully our fanbase and athletic department can just be a member and nothing else.

From a competition standpoint, Texas fans and the program are happy to be here

But THE University of Texas and their $30 billion endowment will soon be the new gorilla with a chainsaw dick

That can only be used academically, so while UTexas can say we are wealthy, it does not help any on the field (or Harvard would be king of college football)

Just curious, what do you think is the first thing Texas does in the SEC that makes all of you say "So this is the new normal?"

Insist that they are really, really good.

Well, their standard tactic has been to threaten to leave if they don't get their way. Not sure how well that works in the SEC. I doubt OU would go with them either.

Rotate the SEC championship to Dallas

No problem with this at all. There would never be a home field advantage for the Championship game.

Nothing. This isn’t their Kingdom anymore. They will kiss the ring just like everyone else in the Bama Kingdom.

Would you expect LSU to view La Tech, Tulane, ULL, and ULM as equal partners if the Louisiana State legislature forced LSU to carry them around in a conference?

This is what (arrogance) people are talking about, those schools are not on nearly the same level as TCU, Baylor, aTm, Texas Tech. You’re comparing yourself to LSU in a state without schools that are on a competitive level. Those schools are not equivalent to ULM and the like.

1st - Changes UT to "Tennessee"; keeps "UT" for itself (will be subtle change plan)

They will start winning now that they lay claim to SEC onramp for Texas blue chippers

Over time, this leads to eventual proposal of "alternative resource allocation" models that pits the haves against the have nots

3rd - eventually threatens to leave SEC for the next super power conference to get "alternative resource allocation" model. Outcome: Texas leaves or SEC becomes new SEC w/alternative resource allocation or cuts the have nots out

4th - SEC eventually breaks apart into to par

Deja vu.

It's like you've been watching the situation for decades.

Unfortunately a few jackasses in your base made it pretty hostile for the rest of you. I certainly hope there are more folks that we can welcome like you. We can be pretty dumb and over the top from time-to-time, but at the end of the day we all are just passionate about sports in a major way. Here's to hoping they get things settled before 2025 for you all

SEC media days in Houston.

The REC (Red Elephant Club) would fight tooth and nail to prevent this. They own the SEC office in Birmingham.

Unfortunately a few Kentucky fans also starting acting like jackasses and lost their shite after some Aggie/LSU alters trolled them as UT fans wanting to kick them out of the conference.
