Arkansas is going through its Tennessee phase and Tennessee isn’t fully out of it yet. It’s not a one hiring or firing. It’s a series of bad hires and apathy

Morris. We still had the ability to make a good hire after the wreck and were coming off of an 11-2 season. Should have been easily salvageable.

Morris put this program in the dirt and set the table for expectations lowering from being nationally competitive to just winning a couple of SEC games a year.

Two incidents not far apart

Fumble at Tennessee
Marty getting killed by the truck

Either one would break the heart of a Hog fan but coming so close together, might have been too much, too quick.

I can’t believe how bad Chad Morris was.

And I can’t believe Dabo hired him as an OC this year

His offenses were boring but he was doing what his boss was telling him to do.

He still holds the highest winning percentage in program history but that wasn't good enough.

But wasn’t that the result of Petrino’s motorcycle wreck?

Two fold

Petrino and the side chick

...and Jeff Long

Not only did Long screw the pooch by firing Petrino, but to top it off he then hired John L (Smiley) Smith and then Bielema.

Did not win either of them if memory is working, and that was what, a generation ago? Nutt was still there, but not quite as high. Don't go Ole Miss and hang banners when you did not win in Atlanta.
