Cliffs notes? I generally like RJ but he is a bloU fan and can be a bit delusional at times.

Not watching

He is delusional and it's absolute gold how wrong he was across the board. Put it on 2x and laugh

I want him to tell me he was wrong and why he was wrong.

Yeah seems only fair if you make demands you have to follow suit when the opposite becomes true.

And his voice is still more annoying than that.... but it's fun to laugh at how preseason predictions can go 0-for-however many

He's a lifelong assistant with a couple rocky years as a HC. You cant say with any type of certainty whether he will even be able to make OU an average middle of the pack SEC team.
I dont think any team in the SEC has any business hiring a HC with zero head coach experience. I think hiring a proven HC at a smaller school is prob 50/50. Hiring a coordinator is prob less than 10% chance they make it.

I mean they have a history of hiring coordinators / assistants....

Literally since Bud Wilkinson they have hired one head coach with head coaching expereience. Howard Schnellenberger and he made it one season there before resigning.

OU is pretty much the master at nailing HC hires without any previous experience. Switzer, Stoops, Riley for example.

Worked just fine for Bob Stoops at Oklahoma.

That was so fun to watch. What an arrogant twat with zero grasp on reality. In other words, the typical oU fan. He sounds like that bitch Charlottesooner.

Thanks for posting that. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Replaying podcasts from guys who were way wrong is a lot of fun.

That is why it it is good to be just a message board poster...

By the time you are wrong... everybody has long forgotten what you posted.

Not so much for the podcast guys.

Oklahoma was a preseason No. 16. They got that wrong. I see no reason to think Venables will be another Stoops or Switzer. He doesn't have much of a personality and the kids have to like you in spite of the NIL. They will take the money and underperform for a crappy coach. Venables could be a great coach....who knows....but I know he's not in the moment. Speculation is subjective at best.

#16 was about right to start the year. Venables only lost 2 games last year and he beat Texas. People forget that. Then you hire the wrong OC after Lebby leaves and you lost your top 5 wr and 3 OL and things change.

No. I'm not clicking on that. But what SEC fans other than Oklahoma care?

His melt after the bowl loss was pure gold. If you enjoy an apoplectic fit it's time well spent viewing.

Skeletor was a damn good DC, as long as his analyst were able to steal the other teams signs, but when that ended so did his ability.
