Linemen downfield. I wish college were more like the pros. 3 yards is too far to be blocking downfield during a pass.

1. Targeting needs to be reviewed and have categories of severity: intent and incidental tackle. A player should not be ejected if the hit was incidental and not malicious. It's the late cheap shots to the head that we need to get rid of mostly.

2. OT rules need to be modified but not overhauled. I say start at the 50 yard line instead of the 25 so you actually have to earn a FG.

I would like to see players be able to challenge either to a pistol duel if they have a dispute on the field.

Referee stand over the ball until the yd markers are clearly set in place and the play clock has been reset. NFL style.

1. Abolish the celebration penalty. The whole point of the game is entertainment for God sakes.

2. Illegal man downfield needs to be overhauled. Impossible ask for linebackers these days.

3. Further update targeting rules, 5 yds for incidental contact, 15 and ejection with intent/crown of the head, etc.

4. Not really a change to the rule, but man they need to allow DBs to play more. Hand fighting back and forth should not be defensive PI.

Some interesting suggestions in here. The two I like the most is limiting linemen to only 1 yard down field and doing something about the flopping

Yeah. 2010 "Camback" wouldn't have happened if that were a rule.

You don't know that.

Use of turnover props should be an automatic 15 yard penalty and loss of possession.

You beat me to it. That’s my number 1 complaint, all of the egregious holding that never gets called. You want to help balance the game and help the defense, call holding on ANY jersey or pad grab, any. If the hands grab, bam, holding. That’ll help the defense.

I also like using the NFL rules for pass interference.

Eliminate the fair catch rule on kickoffs inside the 25 yard line.

I’m ok with linemen downfield. If they don’t allow o linemen to grab and hold, that would change the strategy of having linemen downfield. The qb would get killed.

Do away with the targeting rule COMPLETELY! It's a contact sport.

Down by contact. A slip should not count as down if a player has not been touched.

Referee accountability system. Too many phantom calls and blatant calls that are missed. Referees now are not subject to performance standards. That must change.

Make the QB a football player again. Once again, it's a contact sport. A guy already in midair and .02 seconds behind the ball or obviously trying to pull up shouldn't be called for roughing.

Just to mindfrick coaches to the maximum let’s take FG’s and make them worth 3, 4 or 5 points depending on where the kick is placed. Beyond the 50 is 5 points, beyond the 40 is 4 points, all other FG’s are 3. Now the coaches can have mental breakdowns trying to figure out when to try that 4/5 point kick.....lol!

Adopt the XFLs kickoff rules
Two targeting calls both 15 yards but only kick player out if it was intentional...DB from Ok ...gone...LB from Clemson not
Add a 25 yd PI penalty...spot foul up to 25 yds

1-Make Pass Interference a spot foul

2- First targeting foul is 15 yard penalty unless intentional. Ejection on 2nd one in game

3- Shorten half times

4 - All games must start within 5 minutes of advertised start time

Half the distance on penalties inside either the five , ten and fifteen yard line need to be the same whether you are going towards goal line or defending the goal line.

For example the offense has the ball at the four yard line. Defense jumps offsides. Penalty is half the distance and the ball is placed at the 2 yard line.
Very next play, offense gets a motion penalty.
Ball is moved back to the seven yard line.
Why?
Ball was at the four yard line. Each team had equal penalties but the offensive team lost three yards. Second penalty should have been half the distance away from the goal line placing the ball at the four yard line.

Same thing should apply on all other penalties.
Penalty should be half the distance away from the goal line regardless of whether it is the offense or defense.
