Back to top Posted on 4/13/25 at 4:36 pm to chinhoyang This isn’t about restaurants. This is about a whole generation of workers who are lazy. Doesn’t even matter the industry. It can be an office setting. They see what a person 20 y their senior gets and want it too. And demand it. All while playing on their phone half the time. The ones that actually have a work ethic stand out like a sore thumb.

This is so dead on…
I work in the service industry where we pay well, give people a great work environment and we can’t get people to just work the minimum…it is beyond frustrating… their job is not that hard…just do it.
League bowling…put up 9 strikes in a row..first ball in the tenth miss my spot but get lucky with a Brooklyn strike. Next ball miss my mark end up with a 5-10 split…miss both…286. Never had more than 6 in a row to start a game again.
Flew SW to Vegas from Love on Monday…plane boarding before us to San Antonio had a note “Flight not full, please spread out” Never seen that before…then our 605pm non -stop to Vegas had 111 people on a plane that held 175.
Seems like they are already hurting before making all these changes.
Empties a can of soda in my bathroom sink and then doesn’t throw it away.
Very quick/happy to get rid of my stuff but not her own…even if it was expensive. Ex. I had an expensive pillow I had bought but after a year or so I went to one of those wedge things…left the wedge at a hotel and went looking for my $100 pillow…she had given it away…we have 5 normal pillows on the bed, my pillow is the one that gets tossed.
I have a service come to the house for both our Golden’s…
Dogs aren’t stressed, family can say goodbye in private…allows other pups to say goodbye as well…
Put a blanket down on the bed…one shot to put them to sleep, one more to end it…I helped carry the dog to the vets car…their blanket…I won’t do it any other way…vet cremated them for us and gave us a commemorative box with their name on it…
Highly recommend
I bought one of the first VHS/DVD combos that was about $500
Paid $1500 for my first 60” flatscreen and 1k for a 52” flat screen several years later
Worse move was buying new AC for a house I thought I was staying in…went pretty high end, moved 2 years later…could’ve spent 4K less and got same results on selling.
I lived in Thousand Oaks CA for about 10 years and the weather was ridiculous…seldom over 90, seldom under 40. Hardly ever rained and it didn’t have thunderstorms…
I use to say living there was not fair to the rest of the country.
I won’t wear the ribbon
Pitch and catch…
Drives me crazy
In mid June.
Large group…
Looking for suggestions on good areas, do’s and don’ts etc.
Things to do…all comments and criticisms welcome.
Just for the record, they didn’t change the crispers, they eliminated the original ones. They were only 20% of all crisper sales.
Sales are through the roof, chilis has got a lot of concepts chasing them. Targeting and actually impacting McDonalds was genius,
That CEOi is phenomenal .
Lasted 5 minutes before pulling the plug…it was like it was written for children
The rantards are having a field day…no one seems to recognize that Nuss hasn’t played in that many games…he has elite tools, he is tough, smart mobile in the pocket…
People saying we need to get rid of him are ignorant…how much will he improve next season? He makes some bad decisions and it cost us but he has won us games pretty much on his talent alone…give him another year, give Kelly another year and then go bat shite crazy if we are not in the playoff next year

Maui Jim's
I have 3 pair,…one in my car, one in wife’s car, one for any outdoor activity…
My wife bought my first pair when we were on our honeymoon 15 yrs ago. They stay in her car. I’ve had to change the nose pads…awesome.

My FIL is great…nicest guy generous to a fault…helpful not intrusive…We go to the casino and play poker tournaments a couple times a month…MIL is very nice but a little out there…never know what she is going to say or do…not in a bad way, just unsettling.

My wife encourages me to do things I want to and respects my days off especially in football season…
I think use likes me to do anything that requires money so she feels less guilty about all the crap she buys.

Parking garage in New Orleans question…

Posted by thekid on 10/20/24 at 8:51 pm
I’m picking up my wife and 3 nieces after the Taylor Swift concert…
I want to buy a parking pass and then enter one of the lots close to the Superdome about 30 minutes before show ends…
Does anyone know if this will be a problem? Basically initial entry to a parking lot toward the end of an event?

No pics and please don’t ask why I’m in this situation…
