That was a brief deal and not exclusive to Kentucky. Like players on multiple teams doing the “too small” gesture now.
We did make Satterfield cry like a bitch over Ls down though. If you ever play Louisville it’s a requirement. And at least one of our SEC brethren has joined in over the years.

Caught fire with Coach O. The L is really shorthand for The Boot. I'm old and moved away 20 years ago but I gather between the shooty hoops team and NOLA rap culture The Boot took on a life of its own. It's a cool way to show your pride in LSU or Louisiana in general.
