When has Alabama had a deep threat under Saban? Don't say Julio Jones either.

Again. We don't need a Big 12 style deep ball game, but we need our QB to be accurate enough when we do throw the 2 or 3 deep balls a game to keep defenses guessing. If the OL keeps gelling our run game will be fine, but imagine how much better it could be with a respected deep ball game.

Football is a numbers game. You want a ground game good enough that your receivers are not getting doubled and a pass game good enough that your HB's are not facing 8 in the box. When you can do both, you can exploit mismatches.

You bama fans are a sensitive bunch. Do yall really think that your team has no weaknesses. Right now I would say bama wins against lsu ,but I would not be suprised if lsu wins. This game will come down to turnovers. Bama has a damn strong football team, but they can be beat.

Totally agree. We tackle too well to try to beat us in space. Run the ball up the middle against us, stack the box against Richardson, don't make mistakes, and LSU and possibly even Auburn could beat Bama this year.

Havent read all the pages...

But as an LSU fan I will say that Bama is a pretty scary team. I dont think you can run on them...so you pretty much better pass on 1st down as much as possible.

The Bama O-line is a bit better than i thought...however I dont think they can push an LSU defense around..and cannot wear it down since LSU plays at least 8 d-lineman.

The passing game to the running backs...whether screen plays or dump offs is a great weapon..as is the use of the tight end.

The best defense against Bama imo is to assume a run or short pass and take your chances on the medium/deep threat passing game.

I truly dont see anyone beating this Bama team...not even LSU...maybe if we were at home...but it's a big fast nasty team.

Aj is going to have graduate from throwing screen passes at some point. Defense looks great though

Alabama's performance last night was just awesome. No denying the obvious from this LSU fan. The swamp is an incredibly difficult venue in which to win. While this may not be one of Florida's great teams, Florida is still replete with tremendous talent on both sides of the ball. The Tide has dominated Arkansas and Florida in successive weeks. Alabama's body of work thus far is certainly equal to LSU.

I so hope both LSU and Alabama can stay the course and arrive on 11/5 undefeated ... would be a truly epic atmosphere.

Any of you bama fans a little concerned about your special teams play?

think AJ needs to get more accurate past 15 yards OL/RBs look great. WRs are above average but maze is always a threat going deep your D didn't get pressure against the pass yesterday as much as i thought you'd get. i think part of that was watching for RBs coming out in the flat. really good against the run, though. your kickoffs are pretty weak

That is actually a pretty fair assessment.

Your secondary is overrated, but overall right where you should be. You struggle throwing and defending the deep ball, and have for 2 years.

Hell yes!!! Our kicking game is horrendous! Punt/kickoff coverage could use some work but better kicking would help. I'm hoping that giving other teams a short field doesn't bite us in the arse soon. Thank God we have s good D.

Alabama went 14-0 with Greg Mcelroy and 12-2 with JPW. Average to below average QB's with no deep threat in the passing game. AJ Mccarron is better than both of them IMO.

OL is the strength of the team on offense. RB is a close second.

Back 7 on D is really great.

Potential holes - safeties in man coverage and can this team win if it HAS to pass downfield. Eventually someone will take away the run and screen game. Can the QB win one or possibly 2 games that he has to win??

So what? Have you not seen him consistently completing passes in mid range?

So far you have not had to rely on the pass game to win a game. A bunch of the total pass yards Bama has have come on screens and dump offs. I am pointing out that the ability of the pass game to carry the team when other aspects of the offense are taken away has yet to be proven.

Well said from a fan of a team that couldn't stop the ole miss offense...let alone alabama. If my team got beat down that badly I'd probably say the same thing....only thing is you don't understand you guys suck on defense. Another thing you don't understand is that LSU has already played the top team in the country in scoring offense, and the #13 team.....the other three teams have combined for a total of 16 points....so you don't know what the hell you are talking about....but then again you are an arkansas fan.....all y'all have is opinion...certainly no SEC banners or BCS wins......that's what second tier conference teams do...they get skull fricked by a team, then worship them....makdes them feel better about their own team...lmao

AJ can make passes within 15 yards on a rope pretty consistently. You only need 10 for a first down.
