Defense has looked very impressive. TR and EL have carried the load and if the Tide can get OL play like they had last night in every game going forward, they will be incredibly tough to beat.
McCarron has been just okay. he has made some very erratic throws and seems to be somewhat of a liability for a qb that is just supposed to be a game manager. not saying he'll cost bama a game this year, but IF they do lose, it will likely be because of him.
one last note, the bama punter seems to take f-o-r-e-v-e-r to get the ball off. wouldnt be surprised to see a blocked punt at some point this season.

AJ is the only question about this team. He made a lot of questionable throws last night. I couldn't tell if he was throwing it away or into the teeth of the coverage and got lucky there were no interceptions. The coaching staff will know after watching the film. If AJ did make bad decisions last night I'm coinfident Saban will find a way to impress upon him not to make those mistakes in the future.

there are too many posts for anyone to see this, but i think bama is a contender; nothing more, nothing less. we'll see if they can win out or not. lsu is also a contender. the sad thing is that boise state is a contender and their hardest opponent is probably not as tough as our easiest opponent. the slimy mormon bastards. frick PC.

No. You can rush what ever you want as long as you keep the passes underneath and make the tackle. Alabama was simply trying to keep everything underneath when Florida marched back into Alabama territory. Once Florida got close then Alabama played their base nickle and Upshaw caused havoc.
