I'm good with it as long as the Tigers win.

you say that...but the more jj plays, the more our offense goes back to 2010 and 2009...and we simply can't beat the elite teams with that offense...we couldn't then, and can't now. That's what I don't get with you guys that say a win is a win.....we got enough talent to win most of our games regardless of qb play....but when it gets to the elite games....no....

JJ 2009 first four
62 of 101 61.3cmp%
708yds 7/1 td/int

Lee 2011 first four
56 of 87 64.3cmp%
624yds 6/1 td/int

So how did Lee "elevate our offense over the past 2 years" again? Not a flame in Lee. Just showing that some of his nut hangers don't really know what they're talking about. Yes BOTH Lee and JJ have elevated their games this year but this team is more successful because of all the other things that were done in the offseason. I consider JJ's 2010 year as a sophmore crash and burn. You saw it happen to Jacory Harris too but seems like he has turned it around also. I see JL 08 redshirt freshman year as inexperienced and trying to win the game himself.

Be happy that we are winning and looking good doing it or be an old miserable frick whose only contribution to this site so far is to hate a 21yr old college student.

I find this very ironic that you had to go all the way back to the first four games of 2009 to find data to compare. Unreal actually.

We are averaging 14 more points a game than in 2009 or 2010. Hilarious that you think JJ turned the corner. What corner? He has ran the ball a few times, and still cannot throw a timing pass, thus les pulls his arse out on any third and long. What does that tell you IF JJ has turned the corner to.

BTW, JJ was a junior in 2010, and horrible. You are out of your mind to say 2009 was a bad team. JJ took a gazillion sacks because he can't read defenses, and can't make timing throws. The next year, they told him not to take the sacks, so obviously his throws were much worse because he was throwing intead of dropping.

There is NO hate whatsoever for JJ, I hope he got a college degree out of this and goes on to have a very, very successful career and whatever he will do after football. This is about performance, period. JJ does not have it. He can run, that is it. Don't know what we are talking about. LSU 89th in scoring offense last year. 94th in red zone efficiency. 74 in turnover margin. 79th in time of possession. QB rated 107th in qb efficiency.

Do you want me to tell you what all those are this year? Of course the damn defense couldn't hold up last year, how the hell can you when you are back out on the field in 3 plays. Last year was an abortion of an offense, there is no other way around it.....and 2009 was no better...if you remember, going into 2010, everyone was so excited because the word was that JJ had improved immensely over the Summer.....just like this past Summer. How you can say JJ has elevated his game...I have no idea. What exactly has he done? Seriously, what has he done? Run some plays against a worn down defense? wow
first we have the summer stuff publicized. Then the constant taunting on the field, now this on the national level....not saying we are headed down hurricane row, but it doesn't look good.
I agree they should conduct themselves on a different level. They are counted upon as leaders of this team, and they have let their team down severely, as well as the fanbase, and coaching staff. Anyone that just blows this off as some college kid just being a college kid is crazy. I don't think they need to be dragged through the mud, but I'm very disappointed that they let everyone down in the middle of this championship run. I am even more shocked at SW. Not that shocked with TM, for some reason.

I don't see other stars of other teams doing this in the middle of a championship run. Maybe the other schools just cover it up, who knows.

Isn't the botom line WINS?
So what does it matter of the offense lights the board up or not if the bottom line is achieved?
What you are saying is that you are placing your "want" first. We won't go into exactly what your "want" is right now.

you got it...exactly. LSU is extremely talented, probably most talented in the country the last few years. They are going to win a lot of games no matter who is QB. They won a lot of games despite JJ being ranked 107th efficiency, and a very poor scoring offense, and high level of 3 and outs, which wears out the defense.

The difference is being able to win 9 or 10 games or 12 games. Most teams lsu can beat with talent alone. A few teams, lsu cannot beat without a good offense....thus 4 losses in 2009 and 2 losses last year.

You could say the same thing about crowton too right? I mean he won a lot of games. Remember last year virtually every single game was a single digit nail biter? How much have you seen that this year with JL leading the way. Our D is better, but not that much better. they just got worn down last year by constant inept offense.

Why do you think people have to be friends with JJ if they don't hate him? Guess what, I like some people and I don't like others. That says absolutely nothing about everyone in between.

because you cannot objectively compare their performances and believe that JJ should be starting, or playing a lot....if you have any intelligence at all. The difference in performance is not just a minor improvement. It is a HUGE difference.
quote:

For us in the middle who really do not give a shite, its just getting old and tired tbh.

I understand that.

But I think the difference is JL has led our offense to levels we haven't seen in a long time, and let's face it, JJ led us to an abortion of an offense. I am simply debating and defending a very high performing offense/ compared to a very poor performing offense. IT is that simple.

If the roles were reversed, and JJ was the one performing highly, and JL was the one who had underperformed for two years.....I'd be saying the same thing in defense of JJ.
let me ask you something...i doubt i get a straight answer...because your crew can't debate the stats, etc....

but if you had a CEO of a company who was losing money for a couple of years. Your CEO takes a leave of absense due to personel issues, and a new CEO takes over, and turns the company completely around offering leadership that the company had not previously seen. Then the former CEO comes back. You think the Board says: "well, i know the performance of the company under the former CEO was very poor, but you know what, even though he was here for a few years, I saw something in him that makes me want to replace the high performing ceo, with the one who performed poorly....just because he COULD have gotten better on his leave of absense".

Yeah, I can see the board doing that.

I tell you though....i give you this...you are some loyal friends.

Every singe person who responded to Canton Tiger has an agenda just like him. The only difference is Canton is not defending one of the worst Qb's in LSU history. Do not let any of the idiots in this thread give you the wrong idea.

The knighters are unreal and do not know shite about football. J/S

I will say this.....JJ has a lot of loyal friends or something. There is no other explanation.

LA I really don't have an agenda. It may come across that way, but I assure you it is not color or anything like that. Am I prejudiced? hell yes. I'm prejudiced to the type of offense we are finally getting after not having it for the last few years. If my agenda is to try and support a highly ranked qb, scoring 14 more points a game than last year....so be it.

oh...so you are saying i am incorrect, the graph hasn't been drastically increasing each half for jj...i see.....and you call me retarded. I could show you the actual time per half...but it wouldn't matter....you just aren't smart enough to compute it in that small brain of yours.

The thought of 99 yard time-gobbling offensive drives is nauseating

No Spencer Ware to get them big first downs so I doubt this will happen this weekend.

can you imagine what these threads would have been like had miles put jj back in on the next drive? the jj pumpers would be imploding. In actuality, it didn't matter who was qb, tenn D had worn down and quit. JL came in the next series and did the same thing......but you can't tell these guys that.

This. He sounds like his life is a black hole.

yeah...ok.

I'm highly analytical. I make decisions based upon product output (this case player output). I don't have any other prejudices, just solely look out performance, the bottom line. I don't have to explain the bottom line between the offense ran by JL, and the offense ran by JJ. Most successful executives do the same thing....if they want to remain successful.

It's hard not to notice this guy's absolutely terrible outlook on football. I can imagine his life must be the same. Lighten up, PAL! :geauxtigers:

kiddo...i have been a fan much longer than you, always will be. Love LSU, and I LOVE the way this team and this offense has been performing. My terrible outlook is on a qb I have watched for 2 years, with a qb rating of 100's, and an abortion of an offense. Sorry if I don't want that again.

I don't see the game plan being much different for this game than it was against UTk.

I almost wish Miles did this just to see fricktards like you lose your minds.

yep, i'm a fricktard for not wanting a qb that has averaged a triple digit quarterback rating the past 2 years.

Itll be like it was vs tenn.
wait and see.

which half. If I was charting the playing time by half.....how do you think that chart would look from the first game, until the last half of Tenn? You saying that upward trend flattens out?
okay...you don't believe me....wait. I'm saying right now JJ gets 65%-70% of the snaps Saturday.
unless your last name ends in Jefferson, that is not what most people think of when they think of JJ at QB....
If you can't see this, you are not very bright...or you are a JJ pumper.
for all of you who are estatic with our offense with JL leading the way......bad news. With ware out, I can see miles playing JJ an extremely large amount of the time, saying "we needed a spark in the running game without ware". Hope I'm wrong, but wouldn't bet on it.
