Anyone who is interested in Alabama, did they look good moving forward or are there some major concerns?
We looked ok. Definitely gotta improve in pass protection. Defense looked decent but hard to gauge against ECU. I wouldn't worry about us until we prove that we can run the ball against a defense with a pulse. We also gotta prove we can stop the room too. I'm glad we had ECU, then Kentucky as our 1st 2 games. It gives us the opportunity to gradually go against stiffer competition until we can gel. Young quarterback made young quarterback errors. Secondary played well but had a couple of busts. Need to get more pressure on the QB. We may be dangerous....the jury is still deliberating.

I agree....Man LSU fans are the best to party with. They showed so much love the last time I went to Tiger Stadium.. I ate more gumbo, jambalaya, and fried alligator than I ever had in my life. Hell....even your women were more ahhh giving. Had me second guessing if I made the right decision graduating from Bama....lol. I made the right decision though instead of 5.5 years for a bachelors it would have taken me 7 years to graduate from LSU if at all. Would have been too many distractions for me. :spank:

I'm also not afraid or too blind to admit that Sabans defenses started to take a noticeable decline once Kirby Smart left. Nick is a master leader and was able to put the right pieces of the puzzle in the correct place at the correct time. I honesty think Kirbys departure was one of the biggest hits we took in the Bama coaching turnover.
I also don't think Nick Saban is the great DB developer that he has been made out to be. If you think back, I remember that DB play was our downfall in many games we lost even when we had superior talent. One of my biggest complaints is they don't look back for the ball. I can't tell you how many interceptions we have left on the field. He's still the greatest coach in my opinion. Can't argue with results.
My love for Bama and Saban has never kept me from being objective!

See....I can get down with this because at least you can admit it. All respect for that!! But I guess I was stupid enough to fall for the troll because at one point I remember thinking "These guys really think we just been lucky for 18 years". No matter how good we have been I've never made a statement like, "Were going to beat LSU arse for the foreseeable future". That way of thinking in the SEC is just unrealistic to me. No matter who you are.

Not retarded....I just don't feel jealousy the way some do I suppose and don't get it. As much as I dislike Auburn, if they beat our arse, I'll say they beat our arse with no excuses no buts. I remember beating LSU a few years back and it was always a but. But the refs this, but that, wait til you play Notre Dame, if Colt McCoy didn't get hurt. Yes, I understand some fans gave props but I remember and large number of LSU fans just NEVER could under any circumstances. I didn't understand why the hate was so vicious! I mean unprecedented vicious!!

Yes its premature. During that run Bama got some lucky bounces, some questionable calls, some favorable playoff commitee decisions, we won some games where we got outplayed, we lost a few games we should have won but the opportunity is there for LSU. If Kiffin continues to grow and mature anything is possible. Especially with the natural glitter that LSU tends to possess and your ability to attract 5* talent. If you couple that with good coaching anything is possible. I'm a Bama fan but LSU has always been my runner up.

For instance, No matter how good Bama has been I'm big enough to admit that I've always been jealous of LSU's crowd, SWAG, and gameday atmosphere. I have no problem admitting that. Would I trade favorite programs? Nope but I can admit that. I just remember all the "Bama Sucks" posts between 2009 and 2024 and thinking to myself are these guys serious? Maybe if the tables were turned and it was our old coach that built a Dynasty somewhere else I could comprehend better and it would make sense.

As LSU fans we were the same way about Saban from 2007 - 2011. We still thought we could beat him and make him regret going to Alabama. Ole Miss fans are about to go through what LSU fans went through from 2007 - 2023. First, Ole Miss will be defiant and think "we'll show him", just like LSU fans did with Saban from 2007 - 2011. But that will quickly change to just pure hated and jealousy, like it did with LSU fans with Saban from 2012 - 2023. If Kiffin does built a dynasty at LSU, all Ole Miss fans will be able to do is think "what if" and "it should've been our dynasty". They'll quickly go to the jealousy and hopelessness phase.
This!!! I for one hope he's not as successful as Saban, but hey who knows? Time will tell. I do think in this new NIL climate it will be more difficult to accomplish.

I always thought Kiffin has developed into a good coach. The older he gets and the more he matures, the better he gets. I never wanted him at Bama and still don't. Not because he's not a good coach but because he's just not a good fit for Bama. Bama is too culturally conservative for Kiffin. LSU and Kiffin have the perfect blend of chemistry and compatibility. Bama's never been a flashy team. Historically we just dig in, put our heads down and win. LSU is more Hollywood! Both work just 2 different philisophies.

I always had respect for LSU but their fans just had an unhealthy level of hate for Bama. LSU could beat us tomorrow I wouldn't hate them. The only team Bama fans hate like that is Auburn. One would think that given our overall record over LSU and especially our record in Tiger Stadium that you guys would finally GET IT. Or at least learn to speak with calculated caution. It's like continuing to touch a hot skillet and wondering why you keep getting burned. Bama fans are like are these people in denial, overly optimistic, or just plain stupid? You guys have a major inferiority complex with Bama and don't realize it.
We can never say never but if I had to bet my life and all of my lifes earnings, I would bet that LSU will never have the rich illustrious history that Alabama enjoys. It's just 99.9% more probable that LSU will NEVER be in the same historical category of an Alabama, Notre Dame, Michigan, Oklahoma, even Tennessee.
