In a world where Arkansas were to actually get rid of Van Horn (never happening in reality for good reason) there is no way they upgrade

He’s a good coach I hate him but respect him for sure.

Van Horn is a great coach, but there is something in his program psychology that promotes choking. Can’t put a finger on it but his teams just don’t step up when it really matters and then give up if they have another chance. Don’t forget there was a game 3 against Oregon St where they didn’t show up. Good chance they lose to SC.

We were out of pitchers and knew it. That was our only chance. The fact we were even there and had a chance to win it all is a testament to how good a coach Dave is.
No one gave us a chance to win it much less be there.
And Dave would have caught that ball I guarantee it.

Arkansas won't find anyone better.

Remind us what happened in the 9th inning of the semi against ole miss last year

Winning the SEC (yes, I know; co-champs) is as tough as winning the NCAA.
He’s an incredible coach and representative of the University.
I’m sure most of us are mad as hello when we stink it up like today and still have nightmares about the drop in the CWS but just knowing that the hogs have a good chance every game and getting a little respect from other programs is always a good thing.

Nobody said his program sucks and the reason I'm invested in it is because Razorback sports is the only major league program in the whole state to follow. They're it.

How about you tell us, I have no idea what you are talking about.
I just remember ole miss pitching lights out in those games.

Bull. Kendall Rogers had Arkansas beating Oregon State in the finals before the tournament even started.

Why do you care what the vibe is on a baseball coach that would never coach for the school you pull for but never actually attended classes at

I’ve thrown a drunk tantrum or two. But as other posters have said, we would be stupid to fire him and it would send a bad message as he built this program from a 500 person stadium and team that wasn’t hardly ever in any hunt to what it is now. We are also the unluckiest AD across all sports except for T&F and that is a fact. It’d be nice to make it to supers, but we’ve had a lot of injuries, etc. and we’re finishing as strong as we can. Some teams may have gotten easier brackets. If TCU wins it all or comes close, then we’ll know that we didn’t crap the bed and they are just a nightmare matchup for us(we played them earlier this year and had trouble too).

He’s a great coach. Until June.

A lot of coaches are but only one wins it each year. The last 2 coaches who won it all missed the sec tourney.
Is it better to be lucky than good?
