After driving across a good portion of the country, Kansas is without a doubt the worst state I’ve ever been in. The vast majority of Oklahoma, NW Texas, and most of Nebraska can compete with it.

Pretty even here... which is just remarkable La isnt dead last.

All of this is like midgets fighting over whos taller. Of course the south is full of poverty and rural areas.. which influences the remainder of the categories...

Edit: fixed

I have driven all over the southeast a lot from work. I have spent a great deal of time in the northeast and some west of and in Texas. I have seen shitholes and freaking beautiful places in all. People who claim this and that about any state are full of shite. They typically drive thru the same areas and base an entire state on what little they've actually seen,

Yeah? In America, we have what’s called free speech and private entities are able to operate their business as they see fit. If I want to call Alabama fans sister/cousin humpers, I damn well will until Chicken says otherwise. Maybe you and him will fit in better in China, where no one can say a disparaging word to any one, ever. Commies.

What the fvck does this have to do with what he said?

Oklahoma has one cool thing in its state.
And that's why it ranks higher than Louisiana.

I have. It’s at least a little scenic there. Not that it’s not close to the others but at least it’s a mountainous waste land compared to other desolate flat lands I mentioned earlier.

Did you miss the part where he tried to dictate what we all can say to each other? Very Mao like.

All states have good and bad. Depends on what u like. I like south Louisiana but hate New Orleans. I like Georgia but u couldn't pay me to live in Atlanta. Tennessee is cool but Memphis is God awful. Birmingham flat out sux but love the coast and the north Alabama area. The world infatuates over New York city but if I never go back again I'll consider myself lucky. To each his own but everywhere I've ever been is pretty much the same as the place I came from. Outside of Atlanta, Memphis and birmingham, Mississippi, georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, north Louisiana and south carolina are all the same shite.

Saying something "could be" doesn't strike me as straight out of the Cultural Revolution, but maybe so.

Out of all of the states that I've spent a substantial amount of time in, at least enough to see more than just one limited area, I hate to admit that Connecticut and Vermont were the most beautiful I've personally seen.

As someone who has also visited Kansas, I will join that sentiment. Kansas has a frickin city named after it, and yet the Missouri half of the city gets all the cool shite and sports teams.

Actually the city existed before the state or even the territory. Both are named after the river, which was originally called "Cansez" in French. Kansas City lies at the confluence of the Kansas and the Missouri. Hence, Kansas City.

Awesome story, I know.
