I enjoy playing LSU, but wish we were more competitive with Mizzou. I think if there were more action, it would help both Mizzou and Arkansas. I don't think it will happen anytime soon though.

I miss the barn burners between LSU and Arky. There were some fierce games between us.

Probably the most overlooked rivalry is Missouri vs. Vanderbilt. I mean, who even knew they played?

Most overhyped on this board? A&M-LSU. It gets a bigger response on here than the iron bowl.

Most underhyped? Either the Egg Bowl or FL-UGA

Georgia/Florida is one that you'll gain a different appreciation for by being in Jacksonville the week of the game.

Why 1960?

Because Bear Bryant turned Bama around beginning in 1959... they've been a different program ever since. But it makes more sense to start in 1960 since its the start of a new decade.

Thanks to recent years of UT suckiness, the TSIO has lost a lot of luster.

LSU has lost a lot in a row to Alabama, but at least they're competitive every other year.

it's been a great tuneup for both schools before they each whip Tennessee's arse annually.

Another thing about this is that yes, while its been "streaky" in the past, Tennessee's streaks are like 4-0 or something small while Bama often goes on a 10+ game win streak.

I wouldnt call 10+ streaks 2 times as "often."

Since the expansion in 1992, the record is Bama 16 - 11 Tennessee. Not a huge difference. And before our current streak(let's start after Bryant retired) it was 14-10 in favor of tennessee. Before the current streak, the series record was only 44-38 Bama. Again, not a huge difference.

The series has always been streaky, but 10+ is not common

Egg Bowl. Most underrated rivalry. I get it, it rarely means anything on the national stage but it is intense and heated.

For this board...when i say inflated, i mean the level of intensity is drastically higher here than in the rest of the SEC footprint. Deflated would be the opposite-It's mostly overlooked here, but is much bigger in the SEC footprint

How the hell did y’all interpret this?

Underrated is Mizzou vs South Carolina.

There have been some great games.

Overrated: Tennessee/Bama. Like that game is ever in doubt

Underrated: Georgia/South Carolina. Always fun to watch

Agreed. I have never ever had an issue with a SEC fan outside of a game day atmosphere, but numerous times walking down the streets on a random Tuesday in February have a seen To some extent and altercation, disagreement, or trash talk between a Missouri and Arkansas fan.

Tennessee-Alabama is not a rivalry in Football anymore, it is an ordinary matchup in any other sport and it caught up to Football too.

For a rivalry to be a real rivalry, it has to be an across-the-board thing. It has to go beyond one sport.

Tennessee-Alabama, LSU-Alabama, Florida-Kentucky, LSU-Ole Miss really aren't rivalries.

Ole Miss-Miss State, Auburn-Georgia, Auburn-Alabama, Tennessee-Kentucky have that no matter what the sport, there's a crowd to be there for it element.

Gonna keep it to my team because I don’t give a damn about y’all

Inflated on here: South Carolina/Mizzou*

Deflated on here: South Carolina/Georgia*

*these aren’t actually rivalries but I wanted to answer anyways so I went with division opponents instead

Georgia has never felt like a real rivalry to me, cue the UGA fans saying it’s because we suck against them, and maybe that’s true overall, but outside of that as well. I work myself up to hate them for the week preceding the game but other than that I really don’t care if Georgia wins games. Doesn’t feel anything like the feeling I get toward Clemson or Kentucky.
