Arkansas was a head of Auburn early in the fourth quarter when Tyler Wilson took over after Ryan Mallet was knocked out by Nick Fairley.
Mallet went out in the first quarter...

Auburn benefited from controversial calls and multiple picks from Tyler Wilson who hasn't played much. That is why they were able to win by double digits.
If Mallet didn't get hurt then that game would had a different result. Arkansas would have pulled it out in the end because they had a well balanced offense that could destroy a defense in the air and carve them up on the ground. But taking out Mallet was the game winner for Auburn.
Auburn also led for a majority of the game

Auburn was Cam Newton with mediocre talent around him
They also had a dominant d-line with Nic Fairley

That was Nick Fairley's job in every game. Dirtiest player ever in the SEC.

2013 FSU hung a 50+ to 14 beating on #3 Clemson that year, who eventually finished Top 10.
That was a great football team. Scored over 40 in 12 of 14 games, and in the 30's in those two.

11 and 17 Bama didn't win their division.
So you're suggesting that a team with 3 Heisman finalists, four first-round draft picks just at WR, and 6-8 other first-round picks, might be the least talented team.
You clearly don't do football very well.

I knew 2 things by fall camp of 2013:
(1) That Florida was in for a rough year - we eventually would go 4-8, suffering the most overall and most impactful injuries I've ever seen an FBS team accumulate in 1 season
(2) That FSU was going to win the national championship. One of the most stacked rosters I can remember entering a season and paired with one of the easiest schedules a MNC contender has ever seen
It was pure misery from start to finish.

Fsu played 5 ranked teams that season. This year's Alabama team played 6 ranked teams this season. Not much difference. Fsu had a great team no matter how you shake it and was one of the best teams in college football history. Look at their margin of victory. It is one of the highest ever. I think the Auburn national championship games distort some people memory of how dominant this team was. It had a better offense than 2019 Lsu or 2020 Alabama because they averaged more points per game than both and had a better overall defense than 2019 Lsu or 2020 Alabama. They were a complete dominant team and one of the best ever. What team do you know that all 22 starters for that season go on to play in the NFL. That's a lot of talent.

Bethune-Cookman 10-3 (FCS)

#25 Maryland 7-6 (3-5)

Idaho 1-11 (Indy)
Florida 4-8 (3-5)
Overall record FBS opponents 65-74 (34-46)
The ACC was putrid in 2013; they played fricking Duke in the title game.
There are probably 20 SEC teams from 2010-2020 that could have gone undefeated against that schedule, the only thing to navigate was @Clemson.
But like I said, FSU was stacked top to bottom and took care of business as ruthlessly as any team we've ever seen.

The talent on 2015 Bama was beyond insane

Think of all the talented teams in that decade. FSU is on the bottom end of that list
2013 FSU is one of the most talented teams to ever step on a college football field. That team was ridiculously loaded.
2010 Auburn's roster overall was the weakest, but they had two of the best college players at their positions that we've in recent memory in Cam and Fairley.

Was 2013 or 2014 the season they had so many 2nd half comebacks? I think it was 2014.
It was 2014. FSU was weak that year. I'm not sure why Winston regressed so badly from 2013 to 2014 but he did. They played with fire all year and then got beat by 40 in the semifinal against Oregon. There were at least 10 teams better than them that season.

There aren't many teams in the history of the sport who could have "navigated" that night game at Clemson like they did. That was a horrific arse kicking that looked so much worse than the 51-14 score made it seem. They could have legitimately beaten Clemson by 50 that night if they felt like it.

That defense was legit once they gelled late in the year.
Not really. Our secondary was abysmal all year long. The difference is Nick Fairley alone would kill 2-3 drives himself every game and that was enough for our offense with Cam running the show.

Better question is why those teams lost a game, same in 2011.
Well in 2011 they faced an LSU team that was also extremely talented.
In 2017 there were multiple injuries at the LB positions. Like 5 different guys missed games. On the offensive side of the ball, Hurts severely limited the passing offense. He would not throw the ball unless the guy was wide open. Even then he missed open guys because he was eager to take off and run or throw the ball away. You could see the offense opening up more whenever Tua came in. Also the OC used Bo way too much at RB when the other 3 RBs were clearly better.
