About 4 years ago I went up there. I was on the way to Missouri and did a little detour.
I liked it as well.
It was interesting how they ran through everything - clock, spot, decision - before they ended the call.

The best in town are going to be Lewis and Palmira and then "everyone else". Both are newer and might be good but Bessinger’s and Melvins are legendary

Those two Chucktown mentions are fantastic, but they’re not SC bbq. Duke’s, Bessinger’s and Melvin’s are what we had before the Texas style bbq made its way here.
The beef cheeks at Palmira are one of the best things I’ve ever tasted. Absolutely amazing. It’s a Texas / Puerto Rico / SC fusion place that is killing it.

Didn't realize it was likely KastKing. I have had good luck with their products.

I bought a pair of their reader sunglasses, and they're my favorite sunglasses now. It's nice being able to read outside or tie a knot while fishing without going through the whole glasses exchange process.

Trunks are awesome

Yes they are, and while it’ll always get a lot of hate from some, it’s one of the best features of my Ridgeline.

Murky Waters has some great wings, and usually some music too.
East Bay in Charleston.
River in Savannah.
Clemson itself is small, but Pixie and Bill’s makes a great steak, and Rick Erwin’s is a nice place. If you don’t mind heading over to Pendleton, though, the Smokin Pig is fun. It’s set up like an ice house in central Texas, so you don’t have to sit in one spot if you have to wait for a table. You can grab a drink and play cornhole or sit in the shade. My son says Roar Clemson is a new place that they like, but I haven’t been.

Never been (although I want to try it) but I have heard great things about Sweatman's BBQ in Holly Hill SC. Pre-COVID it was served cafeteria style, but now I think it is a more traditional with an entree and a couple of sides.

Sweatman’s used to be a buffet; they put the whole hog on the counter and you picked up what you wanted. Now you order your plate like most other places, but the BBQ is still good.
Someone told me Sweatman’s only cooks butts now, but Rodney Scott’s in Hemingway still does whole hog, and it’s the vinegar based sauce common in the Pee Dee area. It’s hard to beat.

I bought the replacement head from Lowe’s. It’s the one with the 3 swivel loops on it so you just cut 3 pieces of line and thread them through. It’s fantastic. I had the same problem as you with the bump being so high off the ground I couldn’t cut anything. This makes it a completely different machine.
That noise is part of the party.
Great place. Everything I’ve had there has been pretty good.
Red Zone in Diamondhead has great lunch specials.
Both of those places are right off I10.
Last Christmas I took a picture for some random girl with Danny McBride in Charleston Place. He looked homeless. When I gave her phone back he shook my hand and said Merry Christmas brother. We exchange Christmas cards now we’re so tight.
Saw Bill Murray at a Riverdogs game a few years ago. Surprisingly there wasn’t a crowd all over him, so I left him alone.

That’s a great middle school analysis.

Been less than a year for us as well, but we’ve enjoyed it so far. I still work, but we have more freedom to enjoy little adventures together without having to worry about leaving anyone out. Our boys are both in college, so we do visits every now and then. The quiet is the hardest thing to get used to. I still struggle with that.

It’s one of those perfect dishes. Hard to get any better than that.
Clemson has at least 18 10-win seasons.
