Will he be remembered as the guy who revived a program that was dying under Johnny Majors, or will be be remembered as the guy who ignored the FDA’s food pyramid?

What the hell are you talking about? Program was dying under Majors?

He is the biggest POS the University has ever seen imo.

This is how i will remember him. He spent too much time and effort trying to taking out Bama and let his own program go to shite and become to dumpster fire that it is now.

That’s how I see it. And yes I know Spurrier has just as much to do with turning in Bama while they were involved in shenanigans of epic proportion.

1989 11-1
1990 9-2-2
1991 9-3

I mean if you want to say that Majors underachieved or wasted a lot of talent, that’s fine, but the program was hardly dying.

I'll remember a man that let his hatred of Alabama consume him to the point where he sold his soul to the devil in return for a handful of years of glory, only to watch his program crash in large part at the hands of Alabama while the Crimson Tide became the most dominant program in the history of college football.

Extremely Overrated. He has the same number of titles as Gene Chizik. Except where Gene is a decent man, Phil is an obese piece of shite.
