He will be remembered as the fat, back stabbing, cancerous, self-serving SOB that he is. He fricked over anybody and everybody who got in his way and sold out himself and his own integrity to save his own skin. He is the least trustworthy human piece of trash in SEC history.

Outside of that, I guess he is okay.

Phil Fulmer was just fired/retired in shame because they were caught paying players on his watch. Is that legacy not somehow too poetic even for Hollywood?

Johnny Majors was a gentleman coach who gave all to Tennessee and, when he got sick, Fulmer came in and stabbed him in the back and Vol fans celebrated it.

Karma. She’s real.

"I want to make it known to all concerned that at no time have I ever demeaned or conspired against John Majors, or given anyone any sort of ultimatum. I was put in the middle of a situation not of my making. I have put my love, my heart and soul into this program, and that is the reason I'm standing here today. I appreciate all that Coach Majors has done for me and I always will wish him well." - Phillip Fulmer

Phil Fulmer, to Santonio Beard, circa 1999/2000: "Alabama is going to be out of the football business"

Since then? ut has had 6 HCs. Bama has 6 NCs!

A micromanaging control freak fat tub of lard whose hubris and pride after being fired as head coach caused him to be more motivated to pour gasoline on a dumpster fire of a program than to realize he was grossly inadequate for his job and step aside.

So frick him but also good job because frick Tennessee.
