It's all for tv bullshite. They have some kind of weird/awkward, love/hate relationship. When Pawwwlll interviews him, it gets downright weird, sometimes.

I don’t know what Finebaum has said about Kiffin, but it can’t be worse than what LSU fans said about Kiffin when he was at Alabama and Ole Miss.

Exactly. Take out any credibility and just understand how many people love to hate on Lane. That’s a lot of people agreeing w you and listening for the next terrible thing you’ll say about him. Other fanbases want to hear why this thing w lsu won’t work because they think it just might. They feel better about themselves when putting down the looming success. Lane ain’t half as bad as most of the people criticizing him. Every little thing is magnified and mob mentality takes over.

He is just looking for clicks, for traffic. He does not even matter in the process. He does the same with Dabo. the more reactions he gets the more he thinks he stay relevant. When he is on talk shows with others you can see them just laughing at him because they know it is just click bait.

Over the past three weeks, Finebaum has increasingly increased his rhetoric against LSU
He called the football program “rogue”
He called the AD a puppet
He’s called the Governor an idiot
He’s called Kiffin a narcissist.
When you think about the fact that his vitriol towards schools has never approached this point (Penn St, Baylor and others), it makes me wonder how he envisions this ending.
I can’t imagine him ever being invited or welcomed back on campus, nor can I see the school allowing coaches or players to appear on his show.
From a purely business standpoint, how does he justify the burning of a bridge between himself and a program that could possibly win a title in the near future.
Now I understand trolls will say, losing the relationship with LSU won’t affect him, but I would counter with the fact that the guy still has to answer to someone who expects him to fully be able to complete his job.
I would love to see what happens if he ever comes back to BR.
