It's all for tv bullshite. They have some kind of weird/awkward, love/hate relationship. When Pawwwlll interviews him, it gets downright weird, sometimes.

I don’t know what Finebaum has said about Kiffin, but it can’t be worse than what LSU fans said about Kiffin when he was at Alabama and Ole Miss.

Exactly. Take out any credibility and just understand how many people love to hate on Lane. That’s a lot of people agreeing w you and listening for the next terrible thing you’ll say about him. Other fanbases want to hear why this thing w lsu won’t work because they think it just might. They feel better about themselves when putting down the looming success. Lane ain’t half as bad as most of the people criticizing him. Every little thing is magnified and mob mentality takes over.
