Frank can win out and still will not get the job. Past HC jobs will be a factor. Can not take the gamble..with a job like LSU.
Because there are people that are not getting paid. I have family that is in the military, they are finding money to pay them now, but that is rumored to be drying up. Even if they get back pay some families can not survive missing pay checks. This is an issue. It doesn't help that a certain political party sues every time they find the money to pay our service men and women. The dems are not doing themselves any favors at this point.
You had a contract pay the man what he is owed. Not his fault that someone gave him this contract. Do what you agreed to do. The so called investigations about "cause" does not help the coaching search. In my opinion.
It is all good until key players start getting jacked up at practice and missing game reps for some minor issues. There is a reason why you can not go full bore at practice at this stage of the season. Bodies get tired, beat up, Bumps and bruises do not heal like they did at the start. There has to be a happy medium where development and toughness can meet. All of these kids are D1 athletes they know how to tackle, block, catch etc. I am not taking up for Kelly at all. But at some point these highly paid kids need to produce.

Frank Wilson, love the man but....

Frank Wilson will not be the next Head Coach at LSU. Good man good, good motivator. His record as a head coach is just one obvious reason they will not take a chance on him. Not sure why so many people have said they wanted this. It will not happen.

I live in Clemson and you are correct, the orange shade has been toned down. Some of my pals are mad as heck. Basically think the coaching staff has been full of crap about how talented they are. As always the haters want someone to get fired, lol Typical college football fans. When they beat the heck out of Troy they will be National Championship contenders again. lol
His arms are 3 times the size they were 2 years ago at the catching camp. Just saying he got a lot bigger some how.

We live in South Carolina. The year after they won the CWS my son went to a catching camp at CCU. Kevin Schnall was the catching coach, One of the best catching coaches in the country. He was pretty colorful and disrespectful about beating LSU that year. Maybe he was just trying to validate the camp. I am not sure. I thought it was pretty arrogant and unprofessional at the time. We did not attend anymore camps with him. The next year they did not even make the tournament. I have met him multiple times at CCU, my daughter cheered for the university, she also dated one of the pitchers, at coaching conventions, etc. He is always arrogant. The comparison I have seen with him and Vitello are spot on. Both arrogant men. But his kids can play the game of baseball.
I visit several times a day just to read. It is better than a good novel. It generally has a little bit of everything. My favorite are the melts that occur. The "sky is falling" folks. I honestly see some very informative posts with honest dialogue and feedback. You also get the ones that just make you wounder why some folks exist. lol The ones who got the scoop from a cousin that works at the feed store that loaded up dog food for someone who may or may not have played for a college team at some point. But in general some folks ask honest questions and many give honest opinions. Rarely do I ever get angry at posters but I do laugh a lot while reading posts.
He will leave only if he is looking for something different. Jay Johnson loves the man and has had a professional relationship with him for a long time.
The SEC is a grind, this team is equipped to win it all. I admit we need to figure it out in a hurry. For those fans who a re ready to hang it up, please do. LSU is one of the best teams in the country, We will have ups and downs, so far every team has had these moments. Trust in the process. It is the the process that we have right now. Jay Johnson is one of the best coaches in the country. He is trying to take a bunch of kids that are still coming together, because of the current state of college athletics, and building something strong. In this college landscape this process is every year. Next year he starts over to put the best team on the field. Bear looked terrible at 3rd. We can all agree. But at least Jay Johnson had the balls to try something that could have potentially made us stronger. Give the man a chance to figure it out.
The criticism our pitching coach gets is just so ignorant. The man has a resume that is pretty dang good. Every time folks bash him because a kid can not throw a strike it just makes me think how stupid some of the fans are. We don't have a unlimited supply of pitchers, we have to work with what we have. If you think that Jay and Yeskie are not addressing these things daily you are crazy. We still have a lot of baseball to play. Kids need to step up and man up. Yeskie can not pitch for them.
Jay Johnson is one of the best coaches in modern Baseball. The days of just screaming at kids and trying to get in their shite does not work with this generation. Someone here said sometimes silence is powerful. Most of us grew up where hurting someones feelings was not a big deal. It is not that way anymore. Coaches l get fired now for going postal on teams, kids walk because of it. Definitely not saying this is correct. Just saying we live in different times and coaches have to navigate the new generation of kids.

Jay Johnson gets a lot of criticism from the fans, myself included. But without a doubt the man is dedicated to the team and the LSU brand. Let him do what he does. Not one of knows what goes on behind closed doors with Jay and the team. I guarantee he has had some closed door sessions with individuals and has challenged them. That is his business not ours.
Not bashing but, 2 time All American pitcher has a hard time throwing overhand. This has hurt LSU more than once this year.
My daughter just graduated from Coastal Carolina University. In the 4 years she was in college her and her group of friends went to two home games. Attendance is an issue at Coastal.
It does not matter if a pitch call was good or bad. The pitcher still has to hit the spot. The coach calls a pitch the player executes the pitch. It is really that simple. All this talk about wanting to hold coach accountable for something the player fails to do is just wrong. Why do you think a coach makes a kid bunt with 2 strikes when the failed to lay the first two pitches down? Because the coach is pissed the kid did not do his job. Some times lessons need to be learned. Young kids need to be developed, this takes time. SEC pitching and SEC hitting is next level. Some of these young pictures are not there, yet!!!

MSU is not being fooled by any pitch thrown. It is like our throwers have dead arms tonight.
Because they are coached by a very good coach and he is in charge a very good baseball program. I hate to brake it to us the fans, but LSU baseball could care less what we as fans think about how the program is run. Just freaking enjoy watching the games or go watch another program.
At some point the pitchers have to take on the responsibility. These kids get a lot of work on hitting spots. What kind of mental makeup they have is on them. I can see some pouting because they are not getting the innings they want and this just adds to the frustration we are seeing. Just my thoughts. Every kid in this program can throw strikes or they would not be at LSU.
Rangers in the same class as the women have come out and confirmed that this happened. Re-testing, recovery from period cycle. Really sad that they let this happen. Someone needs to be held accountable...
