The southern half of the state are Saints fans. The Saints even did some pre-season practice in the Jackson area a few years ago.

The northern half, especially in the northwest corner tends to be Titans fans.

Yeah I'd say 3/4 Saints and the second highest percentage is Titans. People I knew from the Delta liked all kinds of different teams like the Bills. I had a Packers starter jacket as a kid because of Favre

That being said, there are random pockets of fans who have secondary teams, such as the Cowboys (Americas team & Dak), Giants (via Eli), and even the Packers (via Favre), but as Eli and Favre don't play anymore, those pockets are dwindling down to the people who cared about those players when they actually played.

I was about to type this. It’s a couple of secondary teams out there, because of players. I have family that are Bears fan because of Walter Payton being from MS. Several 49er fans because of Jerry Rice.

Mississippi is actually a very underrated state. Let the liberals keep feeding you that propaganda on how bad it is. Let’s keep it underrated and keep it a secret. Don’t be a shite head.

What does drew Brees have to do with Mississippi

Not a thing, relative to other states. He does have a lot to do with picking out your favorite team from a half dozen or so nearby teams, though.

For baseball is it more Braves or Cardinals there? One of my buddies from college was originally from Oxford and he was a huge Cardinals fan, whereas all of us SC boys were huge Braves fans.

Saints will always dominate the state (except for the northern parts)

They were pretty dominate where I was from (NW Mississippi). Saints are clearly Mississippi’s team.

Grew up and still live in the Jackson Metro area. Majority are Saints fans, however I’m a Titans fan due to family from Nashville. One of my good friends is a Dolphins fan of all teams lol. You also see a lot of Steelers fans for whatever reason. Honestly rarely have I ever seen a Falcons fan. Crazy since the vast majority around here are Braves fans with the Cards coming in after that.

It's been the Saints for the last 20+ years, but really the last 15 or so. The Saints held summer camps in Jackson twice.

Saints. I tended to follow the Packers when Bret Favre was there as I am a Coast boy myself and my mom knew his mom. Then the 49'ers because of both Rice and Patrick Willis, and I pulled for the Giants because of Eli. But, long-term and team-wise, its the Saints.

I grew up in Meridian. I picked the Steelers as a kid. I don’t like the Saints.

Growing up 70’s in the delta, you were either a Steelers fan or a Cowboys fan. Currently it’s easier for me to follow the Texans as a local team but still root for the Steelers down deep.

I don’t know anyone in MS that likes the Titans or Falcons.

Mostly Saints or Dallas. Few Chiefs, Eagles, Pats, Packers because they’re popular brands

I know a couple Tampa and Miami fans too.

That's true. I mean, I actively root for the Falcons, but I also hate them as much as they hate me.

It's a love/hate relationship but at least it isn't the Saints
