Cincinnati is across the river and only an hour from Lexington so we're covered.

When I lived in a city with pro sports, I quickly realized it was mostly an excuse for people to go get drunk on a weeknight.

"Oh, sorry I'm late boss, I had (insert nba franchise) tickets last night".

I've personally never needed an excuse to get drunk on a Tuesday.

Dude, outside of Atlanta, the State of Georgia is still much better than Alabama.
Now you are totally onto something. Have you ever driven from the ATL to Bham on I20? You can tell when you cross the state line because all of a sudden you have to dodge potholes when you get into Alabama, and that's the truth. Always has been.

Why would I care about having a sports team that I care little about and is too expensive to piss off the money to attend a game played by dudes who are just there for a huge check?

If this is what determines your self worth you have problems.

And when you cross the state line into Mississippi from LA, AR, TN or AL, you instantly know you are in the Magnolia State because the air smells sweet and beautiful.

Who cares about a pro sports team. I'd gladly give them Atlanta so they could have one.

No thanks on ATL and haven't actively watched pro sports in 10+ years. I see absolutely no value in pro sports.

What do y’all do for fun

Probably the same things people in states with pro teams, since there are way more days without games than with.

If you follow both your home college and pro football teams, what do you do with the remaining 320+ days of the year?

Another question, is it "fun" to watch awful pro teams, just so you can say you have one? Doesn't really look like Georgia is putting a watchable product out for the lucky citizens of a state with pro sports.

Atlanta Falcons- zero super bowl championships

Atlanta Hawks- 1958?

Atlanta Braves- 2021, 1995, 1957, 1914

In theory, you have one pro team that has produced anything, but it's fricking baseball... the most boring sport on the planet repeated 162 times a season.

And Atlanta United who won the MLS Cup in 2018, I’m not a soccer guy from childhood but I like joy watching now from time to time.

God forbid that to happen. If it does I may have to move. Alabama or Florida would both be better for me.

If my fellow Atlanta peeps vote for Stacey Abrams I’ll be pissed!

What do y’all do for fun when Bama football shuts down for the winter? Eat at the Piccadilly? Your states are literally the worst in America. You rank last in everything except obesity.

What an utter fricktard. What do state lines have to do with anything? I'm a Braves fan living in Tennessee, almost 100 miles from the Georgia state line...and I'm still 75 miles closer to a Braves game than anyone living in Valdosta.

You thought you were being clever. Instead, all you did was prove to everyone on the board that you have fewer brain cells than a turnip.
