Nope. That's not what I'm assuming at all.

At any rate, it's interesting that all the talk of Schloss being "distracted" or not doing his job only came out after the fact.

48 hours ago, Aggies were excited about what he was building.

Now, he suddenly wasn't doing his job. Sour grapes.

I'd love Elander. He's also an assistant so we aren't screwing some other team the way Texas and the PoS did to us. I don't think we hire a name.

John Sharp will have a say in this, which means it will go sideways and off the rails.

It’s funny how a whole lot of new information coming to light does that to an opinion, isn’t it Mensa?

What new information came to light? The fact that he'd leave?

It's college baseball so any comparisons to college football or college basketball are inapt. I haven't kept up with who coaches which little league team, but I'm sure someone has left one little league team to coach a rival before.

Why would Texas take that into consideration? It’s not like A&M avoided hiring Mike Elko because he was a HC.

A&M might take that into consideration. Texas has no consideration for anyone but themselves

Kalen Deboer earlier this year. They're not rivals with Alabama obviously, but he left Washington 4 days after losing the national title game. Johnny Majors left Pitt for Tennessee right after winning a national title, but he played at Tennessee so it's also not the same.

There's not a good comparison for a coach leaving in this circumstance and going to a bitter rival, much less like 12 hours after the national title game. It's pretty unprecedented
Regarding the Johnny Majors thing, most people forget Chris Beard is a Texas-ex so he was just coming home. Still wish we had him, but that was an epic frickup that couldn't be swept under the rug.

Peyton to Tennessee instead of Ole Miss
I know we're comparing players to coaches but that's all I could think of.

Not as big a public revolt but I believe it was Tuberville that got up from a dinner with recruits at Texas Tech and excused himself to take a phone call. Walked out the door and got on a plane to Cincinnati…

That's a good one and exactly how it happened according to several recruits. Of course nobody cares about Tortilla Tech so it's now mostly forgotten.

He didn't leave LSU for Bama. He left the Dolphins for Bama.

I'm an Oklahoma State grad, but should such a scenario have happened, it would be more akin to leaving Texas for A&M.

Can’t talk about Tuberville without mentioning him saying he’d leave Oxford in a pine box before taking the job at Auburn

For me, the reaction reminds me of Brewer fans when Craig Counsell went to the Cubs.
