A baw is a man from the south with a devil-may-care attitude towards prevailing social fads and polite conduct. All baws will drink a beer. All baws will grill or smoke you something incredible. A baw is trustworthy. A baw, if educated, went to a state university. Most baws are at least 25 years old but I have met a few younger baws who listened to Merle Haggard and dipped skoal long cut right out of high school.
A baw is the kind of man who will spend all day setting up a tailgate, making a roux in a giant pot, cooking thousands of dollars worth of food for strangers, and getting so hammered that his wife is pissed off by the end of the 1st quarter and wants to go home.
