No….he did lose 4 games the season after the NC

*3* a 1 point loss to the best team auburn ever had and a fluke Hail Mary play.

Not 05?
nobody was jumping USC and Texas that year, if LSU happen to run the table they become ‘04 Auburn.

Saban was bot a good coach back then. Les Miles was actually better
“not a good coach” the same coach who had already won two sec titles, a national championship, had a 6 win bama team go to the wire against the national champs and had them in the SEC championship the next year undefeated. But sure not a good coach.

If saban was coaching LSU from 05-13
They probably have a minimum of 4 NC’s and 6 SEC titles.

Watch lioness next
great 1st season, terrible ending in the 2nd season.

Agreed. I think Jay would like a lefty starter in the weekend rotation and Williams is that guy,
Williams is definitely a guy I could see in the Sunday starter role but If that doesn’t work I think him and Cowan are going to be the first two out of the pen for long relief to help with the piggybacks.

I travel to ms to hunt cause I’m not hunting a skeeter infested swamp where I need hip boots or waders. I do occasionally hunt the swamps around home but I’d rather hunt dry land.
not all of LA is swamp land but outside of maybe 10 parishes the deer hunting is abysmal.

I own 2 acres where my mobile home is and hunt (wife and 2 boys) a large club that has school board land and timber company land. So on top of lease fees we pay the property taxes on camp and the school board land. Also dump a ton of money into the state cause we buy everything local up there.
congrats? Do you expect me to give you a high five or medal? That’s your choice on how you spend your hard earned money.

Fontenot up 99mph.
wow, I know this is said every offseason but I do feel like this Jay’s deepest staff since he been at LSU. A rotation of Evans, Moore, Schmidt and possibly Noot looks promising this spring.

The high license cost just means I'm going to shoot as many legal deer as I'm allowed to over there. I get my money's worth.
and you wonder why Louisiana deer hunting is dogshit and LA residents have to travel to other states to rape and pillage other states resources because they have “no deer”.

I have a want for victory tonight.
The box needs to go to all chair back and have a berm in the outfield, also besides the gold seats behind home plate all the other chair backs need to remain one color. What’s there now is tacky.

We are so far behind this is insane…
I can give you 7 reasons why state is behind.
quote:

Ahh yes 2 picks… Of course you conveniently forgot to mention he also threw for 462 yards and 4 TDs also
with no running game.

Cig and Elko were HC’s prior to Indiana and aTm, but you’re correct about overlooking qualified candidates just because they haven’t been a P4 HC before
my current top 3 I’m referring to are Kirby, Lanning, and Ryan Day.
Elko had no HC experience during LSU last coaching search so he would been immediately off the search list.
quote:

Why? He was the DC at UGA right? What’s his connection to Oregon?
nothing Lanning would have taken this job immediately and people still would have called for Woodard head because this board thinks LSU is too good to hire guys who have never been HC’s before even though your current top 3 coaches never had HC experience before their current job.
quote:

I'm tired of reading this shite. No it wasn't unless you count winning the press conference a homerun hire. Hiring the guy that appeases the fanbase is not a homerun. Elko or Lanning would've been homeruns, the rant just didn't know it.
so what’s your opinion on guys like Glenn Shumann, Will Stein, and Brian Hartline?
quote:

Dan Lanning was hired in that cycle, probably wasn’t even on Woodward’s radar.
well most posters here think you have to have HC experience to even coach at LSU (I’m not one).

Jovorskie Lane, Jr
thanks for making a lot of us feel old as hell.
quote:

Les Miles = Larry Coker. Terrible head coach that walked into a great situation built By Nick Saban/ME and slowly deteriorated the program the longer he was there
completely false if anything he kept the train going for what Nick built and also went to the championship game with own players.
People forget before Les, OK State was a dumpster fire they Had like only 1 winning season in 13 years and then Les had 3 straight years of winning 7+games and beating OU twice. He wasn’t the first choice but it was a pretty solid resume he had.
