Too bad they may lose their top 3 guys at WR, getting even one back would be big for Auburn. Bray could have been in for a big year if he wasn't a senior...

True. I'm confident in Jeremy Johnson. I'm not sold on our WRs if we lose Duke and Sammie.

Auburn fans will say "throw it more, duh," like they think one year they can be an elite run team and the very next put up 50 per game throwing it all over the yard.

Well we did just throw for 450 against alabama on the road with a DB playing QB so maybe it's possible?

Great Secondary's will shut it down easily without the threat of the run like with NM is the point. If there's no legit read option, teams will sit back in coverage and shut that shite down.

You do realize you don't have to have a NM level rushing threat at QB to run a good read option, right? NM is an exceptional athlete.

A prototypical Gus QB is a mobile passing threat who can make a play if the chance arises or the play breaks down. Guess who fits that description pretty spot on?

I honestly didn't know this thread was made THAT much. Heck I even stuck up for ole Gus. It shocks me that people don't know how well he molds his offense to fit personnel.

To be fair, Marshall's arm was their offense in the IB

I don't remember Arkansas St winning any championships??? I'm not familiar with Gus' high school record though? If your referring to Cam, JJ isn't Cam.

Meh, not sure if that had anything to do with Alabama's secondary or NM being a god in the passing game. If that were the case, Alabama's secondary wouldn't be ranked as high as they are(not top 10 or anything) and Auburn would have aired it out all year.

It was more a product of y'all running the ball so well, causing Alabama to bring up the safeties....added to NM being in the zone, and throwing to monsters running go routes with nothing to lose.

Its why Alabama was able to slow y'all down a bit in the redzone.

You do realize he has coached other offenses and quarterbacks aside from Cam Newton and a year at Ark State, right?

Not sure, but if a safety can throw for 450 yards on Nick Saban's D, I'm expecting big things from a quarterback.

Now would be a good time for you to just admit that you really do not know shite about football, let alone Gus. You tried to make a troll thread and even Bama fans pointed out you know nothing about Gus's offense.

I hope the rumor of Duke Williams coming back is true.

Auburn's offense would be sick with Jeremy Johnson, Duke Williams, Sammie Coates, Jovon Robinson and Racean Thomas.

Would be great for Auburn, but you really can't trust anything thrown out at this point. Unfortunately know from experience

I'd be shocked if he didn't submit his name to the advisory board. I think he'd consider it if it's around a 2nd. That leaves him an entire off season to boost that.

luckily they changed the rules this season so that you only get a draft grade if you're projected in the first or second
