Would be great for Auburn, but you really can't trust anything thrown out at this point. Unfortunately know from experience
I remember this, but I can't blame you.

We all believe what we want to believe (me in this case with Duke Williams).

I'd be shocked if he didn't submit his name to the advisory board.
As would I. It's almost a definite he will, IMO.

I think he'd consider it if it's around a 2nd. That leaves him an entire off season to boost that.
True, agreed.

I also think he goes before Sammie Coates when it's all said and done. Sammie Coates' big play ability and measurables will get him noticed even more at the scouting combine, but he's just not the beast that is Duke Williams.

BTW, your comparison to Dez Bryant back when Duke Williams was in JuCo was spot on, IMO.

Offense will be fine. The big question is still about the defense.

Malzahn adapts to the players he has. He has had JJ for two years and probably has a pretty good handle on the needed adjustments.

Our defense on the other hand... I just don't know. that 60-80 crack is too honest to be funny.

Does D'haquille have a history of making bad life choices? He was very lucky to get out of Bryant - Denny.

I also want to let it be known that even if Duke Williams returns, Auburn will miss Sammie Coates more than any fan would like to admit. He is absolutely every bit of a freak of nature and a physical specimen that Auburn hasn't had in quite some time. He has questionable hands, but he is always a threat to make a play. Losing Sammie Coates AND Duke Williams would be huge - so huge that, IMO, it would take them out of the race for an SEC and National Championship. We just don't have anybody else on roster that can do the things these guys do. They are truly unbelievable.

If they were to return, I wouldn't count us out of any game in 2015.

Gus likes to run first. I expect it will be more power runs like when Ben Tate was there. This will open up play action. JJ will be expected to keep defenses honest on the read. To be honest - outside of his run first power run game - who knows what else he will do. JJ seems to have a big accurate arm and there are plenty of WR's. Expect another top 3 offense in the SEC.

I still think the Ray kid will do pretty well also. He seems to already have a rapport with JJ.
