They accept "good enough" and don't demand to be better. For example, any time you criticize the program for no conference championships in 45 years, the old-timers all bitch and moan and say "be grateful for what we have, things used to be worse." I mean yeah, nobody is denying that...does that mean we should settle for winning division titles since its "better than the old days"?

No. Look at the teams that usually win the titles. Their fan bases EXPECT them to win titles.

That a sizable portion of the fanbase cares more about local pro sports teams than Mizzou sports.

When we act like other teams matter.
And as a fanbase, our folks know nothing about baseball. Seems that coed organized kickie bally is a thing.

Some of the younger fans are serious dickbags for Missouri
Missouri was always known as the worst fan base in Big12 by many of the other Big12 fans.
I've been at games and just shook my head at the stupidity. Harassing a father,mother and their young child after beating a mediocre team to go to .500. lol And it's always the 25 and under crowd, acting like dildos. But they are part of the generation of suck, so i should expect it.
Part of it, might be that they never had to go through the struggles of watching a team lose by 50 on national tv. Or being the whipping boy for top teams.
They have only know of recent success, so they are ignorant to the program as a whole.
