What do non-UGA fans think about Georgia Tech re-entering the SEC?

All UGA fans would say hell no.
What do the rest of you think, as part of a future expansion?

Hell no. They left the SEC in the 60's thinking they were better than everyone else ... "The Notre Dame of the South"
Frick 'em.
Frick 'em.

They have a hard time getting fan support in the acc so what makes this different?

Makes a ton more sense then the recent add-ons...but if it was agreed that the SEC would not add Georgia Tech because they already have Georgia would make sense. Plus it is all about marketplaces, and the SEC already has Georgia. I stll think we go for the North Carolina and West Virgina marketplaces next.

Conference is already to big. Take one in, send one out.
Really need to follow an NFL model. Either 48 or 64 in a super league. Divide these teams into 4 or 8 subdivisions. 24 of 64 team league or 12 of a 48 team league for playoffs.

If we can get rid of Missouri, I'll take anyone

I don't care if it's Georgia Tech, North Carolina, or Notre Dame. Sixteen is big enough. I'm sure that the old guys wish it was still 10.

I’m grateful that Missouri is in the SEC.

I think if you let GT in, you may as well let in the trash from Texas A&M, Texas, and OU.
Oh, wait…
Oh, wait…

My though process-
1- keep it Southeastern, geographically.
2- ensures the UGA-GT rivalry remains intact as football is changing into something completely different, with OOC games being something that only happens in the post season. This could also be said for bringing in FSU and/or Clemson.
3- Ideally, drop mizzou and add GT, CU, FSU.
18 teams in (2) 9-team divisions.
Each division plays 8 games in their own division, and 2 games cross division.
This brings our conference to 10 SEC games per year, more inventory and more money for future TV contracts. And every team can still schedule two warm-up games anywhere in the season that allows for it.
It preserves the current OOC historic rivalries for UGA, South Carolina, and Florida.
It makes geographic and cultural sense. With GT being the outlier, culturally. But I think you'd definitely see a bandwagon bump for several years with GT's entrance. Hell, all the AU and UF fans would be GT fans when their own team is down in the dumps, like now for instance.

I dont mind having Tech, Clemson, and Tulane in the conference. It continues to preserve SEC in state rivalries and doesnt expand into non southern states. I wouldnt be surprised if Missouri leaves the SEC
Most real SEC teams have more historic rivalries and relationships with Clemson than Texas, Aggie, OU, or Missouri

It's funny all the people say we would block them, hell we play them in every sport so might as well count as an sec win for us.... It's the Mississippi schools and LSU that hate their arse from the old days of them not wanting to travel to the "backwoods schools".....

Does it matter who comes in at this point? Too many teams to play every other team in the SEC anyway. 2/3 of the way to a superconference. Might as well jump in the rest of the way.
