Why...marketplace already covered, they offer nothing.

I am very sure we will expand soon. Who we add is the question now Conditates are prob

North Carolina
Duke
Clemson
V Tech
Miami
Louisville
NC State
Memphis
Texas Tech
USF

One of those will prob be next.

Plus it is all about marketplaces, and the SEC already has Georgia

No, it's not about markets, it's about name brand.
I guarantee more people on the East Coast watch Texas and Oklahoma, than watch Rutgers.

But I dont think Ga Tech moves the needle. Football, it would be Miami, Fla State or Clemson. North Carolina and Duke would bring in the basketball fans.

SEC is theABC/ ESPN brand, so figure who they would want.

(again... If we have to from my earlier post)

WVU and Clemson.

This is going to sound corny, but it should be a huge consideration in an industry that's driven entirely by fandom: if college football even survives the next decade, it'll be on love and not the general query of whether xfinity happens to carry that channel. TV markets do not matter in this. The question is whether anyone will give the slightest frick in 10 years

I disagree, it's not a geographic board game of Axis and Allies.

All those FSU fans watching the FSU game will now be watching their team on the SEC Network instead of whatever bullshite channel it gets shown on now. Same with Clemson. It makes the SEC more valuable, commands more money.

unless you wanted to preserve one cross-division game (DSOR and TSIO immediately come to mind)

West is all teams west of the Mississippi River + Vandy.

East is everyone else.

Preserves all rivalries except Vandy/UTk. And nobody cares about that one.

GT would add nothing to the SEC in any sport I follow.

If the ACC were to implode and cease to exist like the P12

I would be OK with Louisville, Virginia, Virginia Tech, North Carolina, Duke, Clemson, Georgia Tech, Clemson, Florida State, and Miami

The rest of them can piss up a rope.

Objectively you added a large portion of Texas and OU, what does adding GT get you that the sec doesn’t already have? Honest question here it made perfect sense. You could put OU and Texas in the BIG but would that be better or worse for the sec?

The issue would be you'ld have to add Clemson, FSU, & Louisville or the missing rivalry team would vote against the others being added.

Why would all UGA fans say hell no though? It would free up OOC scheduling.

No way would the SEC remove Texas or OU. That is 2 very big markets and storied programs. Removing them would not help the SEC so they won't do it. Would make no sense.
