Saban reportedly recommended Nutt when he left LSU.

That was a weird couple of years. Had them looking good at the end of '08 and somewhat in '09 and then the bottom fell out.

We were pissed that we fired him, paid his buyout and made it appear he left on his own terms.

That fricker was a Trojan horse. They knew what they were doing when they let us take him

He’s similar to Coach O. Big rah rah guy who can turn a program around but there isn’t much substance or quality scheme/coaching to fall back on once the shine wears off.

This is the greatest comparison I have ever heard related to a Coaching move. It sure seemed early that it was a match made in Heaven but damn the damn broke pretty quickly.

He didn't actually believe he could win at Ole Miss and was using us for a check. To his surprise, Orgeron left the cupboard stocked for him so he was able to win some games. He did no recruiting at Ole Miss the first two years (signed a million players but very few with any actual talent, and several never made it to campus) and it showed in 2010 and 2011. 2011 was every bit as bad as a Chad Morris-Arky team. 2010 was too but Jeremiah Masoli was enough of a baller to carry us for a couple of wins.

That is when the standards at Arkansas really started to slip.

Getting rid of Nutt and hiring Petrino is practically the only right move Arkansas football has made since 1964.
