Interesting. I just have been looking at Barttorivik. Looks like we have 3 guys who've made >30 three-pointers over 40%.
Denver Jones is 31-68 at 45.6%
Ranking #34 in 3 pt % and #4 in 2 pt % nationally is a pretty decent recipe to score a lot of points

Oh, and being #34 in offensive rebound rate. So they few times you don't make shots, you get a rebound so you can take another one.
And #6 in lowest turnover rate, so almost all possessions end in a shot.
That's how you piece together one of the most statistically great offenses of the modern era.

My bad, just got really confused by that 3PT list.
Looking forward to seeing how USCe shapes up vs. Bama tonight since we have them Saturday.

I am not complaining. Who cares about these other teams playing for 2nd.

Why are you rocking the Vandy moniker when you seem to be an Auburn fan?

You'd probably have to pay me minimum $30 to attend. Two hours out of a weeknight to witness that? I'd take $5 to throw it on the TV though.

Carter, Hefner and Garcia will do a heat check to start the game.

Oklahoma is a slight Vegas favorite now that Wade Taylor has been listed as out. A&M had been about a 3 point favorite in the road, but now OU is a slight favorite.

Alabama to South Carolina tonight:

I have OU listed as a 3.5 point favorite in the OP.

I could definitely see a 110-70 type scoreline.

Yep. You just keep your head down and let them play. The road games are all going to be wars for the most part.

They shoot a shite ton of threes, but the fact that they've put up the scoring numbers they have with that percentage really makes you hope they don't "find their stroke" from three any time soon.

2pt % - #1 (63%)
FT rate - #30 (41%)
Off Reb Rate - #12 (38%)
TO Rate - #97 (16%)
This team has more guys that can individually get to the rim and either draw contact or finish than any team Oats has had. And since the Vegas tournament they've gotten comfortable running the offense together and stopped (for the most part) having 10-15 egregiously bad trips a game that end in turnovers or terrible shots where everyone looks lost.
The 3pt shooting thing will probably get better once Youngblood shakes off the rust and Stevenson comes back to the man a little, but losing Wrightsell hurt and it's always going to have a bit of a cap because we the way the offense works we are always going to have average outside shooters take more 3s than other teams (Reid, Sherrell, Nelson, Philon). The reason is it spaces teams and we rebound the hell out of those misses. Losing Wrightsell definitely hurt, because he and Aden are really the only 2 consistently pure shooters off of the catch that we have. Mark is a really good shooter but he can have some streakiness.
