I hear some podcasters saying this, and it was said by Freeze as well.

Im kinda slow at math, but if your offense is going fast and scoring, who givea a fck on the defensive side of the ball?

The problem is when you go fast for 4 three and outs in a row and they get worn down. Then want to blame them when they start getting gashed in the second half.

Golesh needs to bench bling king and put in Tia if the Georgia game starts the same way. Better to let the kid get some experience, this season is toast once again.

I tend to agree. If your D was good it would limit the oppositions offense to 3 and out. A good D can stand on its own. But an offense does need to be able to stand on its own.

I am kind of tired of people calling out a fast offense. I see people reaching and blaming offense. It is a balance but again a good D can make it's own fate.

I think the root of that question is those coaches who think they have some sort of superior "system".

They don't. They never have. If the other teams is better at blocking and tackling than you are, they usually win.

If you suck at defense and the other team doesn't, but you have a great offense and the other team just has a good offense....well, the other team is usually going to win.

Coaches who say things like the OP's subject usually never win consistently, instead they tend to lose disastrously.

The D was damn good last year and they played practically the whole game due to having no offense. I guess they got a lot of experience.

Yes, that is a problem.

But an even bigger problem is doing that AND turning the ball over on your own side if the field.

The tempo should help until we get more talent, but the true stud sure fire NFL OL don't want to play for super up tempo. Part of it is practical in that they can't gain the ridiculous weight.

Maybe if the defense could get off the field, they’d be more rested.

You hear this, its from low IQ retards. That is the excuse the offense makes because they suck arse and put the defense in bad situations.

Throwing the ball like damn Kent Tekulve. Good grief.

Tia deserves a better look.... but Georgia ain't it.

Not as a starter. Some late and his next game will seem slow.

The reason Auburn’s defense has gotten worn down over the last 3 years is NOT the offense. It’s because they can’t get off the field on 3rd and 4th down.

Giving up first down after first down keeps your defense on the field. Call it 3rd and Durkin or bend but don’t break or whatever but the defense’s problems are being caused by the defense.

I was 7 when the Pirates won their last WS. I think Tekulve was on that team. Baseball is my oldest sport. Fan since very small. I really didn't get into watching pro and college football until I was 9 or 10.

It doesn't matter who is in at QB with our OLine. We need to start a new tradition and invest all our NIL money on Lineman (and a couple of good RBs). Then if we have a bad QB then at least he can stand back there til the WRs tire the defense out and he can just throw it up to them.

Pretend all we want is OL and when that is fixed good skill players will find their way here.
