my oldest daughter's friend (married and one kid) just traded in her 3 y/o Subaru for an Audi. I think she's nuts. We'll see.

"Compensation for keeping the gates reputation intact" sounds a lot like hush money.

I was in my last class before graduation at AU - Calculus 162 (I stupidly put taking this class until the end). Someone stuck their head in the class and announced the Challenger had exploded. The professor immediately dismissed class. What TV for the rest of the day. Sad day!

I was in MH 264 in Parker. a Navy ROTC classmate came in late and whispered it to the ones around him.

do some airliners not use heated air from the engines to heat the leading edges?

I know we were taxiing at ATL headed to New York (Dec 26th) and had to return to gate because the anti ice system didn't work. trying to clear it up, they just revved that engine up to high power but to no avail. the pilot said because of where we were going, we had to cancel.

The weather at the time of the accident wasn’t really all that bad. Not great but nothing that aircraft and crew shouldn’t have been able to handle.

didn't the airport official say in this morning's presser that flights were coming and going at the time?

It doesn't look like they even made it to the end of the runway, is that normal for an ice issue? I know the small jets like that can take off with much less than the full runway but I just figured they'd be able to fly a little ways

on the Aviation Safety Network report it's claimed that the the plane reached 152 knots. is that rotate speed? maybe. depends on a lot of factors. maybe pulled back and asymmetric wing lift flipped it?
Room 222 was yet another of those young female-centric shows that I watched for some reason as a kid in the early 70's. now I know why.
how does a plane end up on its back on the runway? gust of wind?

our local county schools had remote learning last Friday due to so many kids sick.
know what's painful?

listening to this reporters voice. what's going on there?
I don't know about coldest, but I think the hottest I've ever been was north coast of Puerto Rico in late July in....'85 I think. Even with the sea breeze, it was brutal.
