Tennessee's womens dominance is like Southern Cals in baseball. Yeah you have a lot of trophys but there was no parity at all.

All time winningest program. Never missed an ncaa tourney. Successful across multiple coaches. You don’t know ball dude lol. Keep your bad takes to yourself. Pat Summit won natties across three decades and is the reason anyone cares about that sport. You aren’t worthy to talk about the sport if you disrespect her like that

And by the way Staleys 1/8 record against Summitt proves your point a bit. There was no parity, it was Geno and Pat then no one else stood a chance, not even your bum coach

While I will agree that Tennessee is the standard based on their past.... the standard has changed just in the last 25 years. The universities are now investing in WBB, and the last few years is a truer level of what the standard has become. WBB was a 7-person game until the 80's and was treated more like a club sport than an actual WBB program. Now that most universities invest in their programs it is more difficult for a program to dominate like Tennessee and UCONN did earlier. There are a few programs that continue to excel, it's a change from year to year about the best team. Parity is a good thing.

As a lifelong supporter of MSU athletics, and more specifically women’s basketball due to my family’s lifelong affiliation with girl’s AAU, at no time have I ever referred to our program as great. Coach Fanning had a few good seasons but for the most part we were mostly irrelevant.
We had brief success with Vic but as soon as he left for Texas, we started trending back towards irrelevance again.

Yep, it seems like that program is an afterthought.
