benched the best RB on the team for banging his daughter ..

Y'all should all be required to wear tin foil hats around campus on game days.

Lane spent the week in Dallas begging his ex-girlfriend to get back together with him

I think it's important to flesh out the story a little bit.

His girlfriend broke up with him because he got a coed pregnant. And her father was raising hell and threatening to sue the school and make a public mess. So they had to manage the shite out of the situation, so to speak.

Meanwhile Kiffin was stalking the Ex at her condo in Highland Park. And she had to call the cops and threaten him with a restraining order. Yet another incident that had to be managed by Carter & Co.

All this during the week of the Kentucky game. Which he lost by going for it constantly on 4th down rather than kicking field goals. And refusing to play the running back who was fricking his daughter.

So. Get ready for somewhat of a "kinetic" environment in the football complex in Baton Rouge.

As for Pete: He won the Sugar Bowl over Georgia by kicking two field goals over 50 yards that Lane would not have kicked.

So. You know. Details matter.

That 1999 State team wasn’t elite. They played the easiest schedule of all time.
