There is obviously more to it than “reps with the practice team” because that’s basically what he’s relegated to at Ole Miss. he was either lied to by Kiffin (very possible but then why isn’t he butthurt at Kiffin like he obviously was with LSU) or there was some other reason he left (and fear losing out to current and future competition is the likely culprit).

He is going to be second string in the fall, no matter who wins, he will be second team and the back up.
He loved his time at LSU, he has absolutely balled at this spring camp.

He has been incredible this spring. The thing that made him very upset at LSU was Brian Kelly not mentioning him in the QB comp. he was getting scout team reps only and was scared that will happen again. I’m the fall he will be second team, and has atm talent similar to Chad Kelly. He will be the starter at ole miss no matter what next year. Can’t wait

He wants to play for Lane. He's likely starting next year.

Yep, he’s looked good this spring. He will be running with the 2”s in the fall. Sanders is still hurt and lagging a bit.

It looks like he’s only definitely behind Dart. That means he’s doing fine. I don’t get this post.

He'll lose a year of eligibility doing that. But this is the risk that comes with a true freshman transferring after 6 months. Way too much can happen. One of the many reasons how the new transfer rules can be more of a detriment to players than a benefit. If you're a 3rd/4th year player who knows he won't be playing the following season, go for it. If you're a freshman, you mat want to see how things shake out before making a rash decision.

You have no idea who will start for y’all in 2024. Kiffin may sign someone else from the portal. Dart may be the starter again. Etc

My biggest takeaway watching him play last year in mop up duty was how undersized he appeared. With the current transfer portal it’s all about who can help you in the immediate future. That’s the one that stayed at LSU, he could go out and win games for you this year if needed.

If Dart beats out Sanders, Sanders likely transfers again to start somewhere his senior year and Howard, once again, is 2nd string this year and in line to start next year
