Haha I get it. It's sarcasm. He wasn't coming off shoulder surgery or anything and played a well above average game.

They also lost by 30 points to a mediocre Texas team at home.

That was 3 weeks before the A&M game; it was their 3rd game under a new coaching staff. What is your point? 2012 Ole Miss' rushing defense was #25 in the nation last season, and you can check Alabama, Georgia, and LSU's rushing yards versus Ole Miss for legitimacy. Tonight, several freshmen made an impact. There's plenty of reasons for optimism for Ole Miss. Vanderbilt's season on the other hand could be over if Freeze doesn't handle this right.

Vandys defense was shite. Just shite. I don't know how Jordan Matthews can look any of them in the eye after that.

Wow what a game. Great win for Ole Miss, but a kick in the crotch for Vandy. As soon as I saw that Vandy player choose the inside of the Rebel player screening for Scott, instead of taking the outside and sealing the edge, I knew it was over. By leaving the outside edge open for Scott, he gave a lane to the endzone...the other Vandy players had no angle on Scott from there, but they would've had a chance if Scott was forced towards the middle of the field....

He was talking about Ole Miss' close games last year like A&M and LSU and what not. I merely said he couldn't use that because they got slaughtered by a Texas team that wasn't nearly as talented.

Until they get their QB situation fixed, they'll be a low tier SEC team with a middle of the pack coach and undeserved hype. I think we all remind the Jevan Snead saga when they were in the Top 10 I think. One week later they get hammered by a team that can actually play football. Ole Miss will be no different than usual this year. I guarantee it. But I think they Gay&Em

Fixed the Coach for You.

I'm glad to see a sane poster on the rant.

I'm not saying we'll be world beaters or even win against LSU, ATM, Bama, or Texas, but we won't get "rolled over".

This very young team, that saw a LOT of true freshmen playing, just came out in its first SEC road game - which also happened to be THE FIRST GAME OF THE SEASON - and came from behind to get a good, solid win. They came up with huge plays when it mattered.

Yes, they made mistakes and they will make more, but to think that this team didn't just take a HUGE step in the right direction is being stubborn and bull-headed.

Jeff Scott reminds me of Sproles at KState. Scary to think about.
