Great insight!! Still driving up. We ended up getting a room at the pyramid. So will take advantage of the shuttle service to downtown etc. Appreciate all the help.
I should have mentioned Beale. it’s a more sterilized Bourbon for better or worse. It can be fun when there’s good game day energy but it’s not exactly peak culture.. Silky’s is Memphis’s Pat O Briens and is usually my only stop. There’s a burger place called Dyers nearby if you need late night food.

It’s not a nice city but the history is palpable. You’ll generally be fine downtown. A lot of the city is absolute shite but you will have little to no occasion to go into those areas.
Lots of music museums .. Stax and sun records are a must. Music itself in Memphis is sadly pretty weak. But Wild Bills is a good blues club.
Civil rights museum is chilling , the MLK bedroom is preserved like it was yesterday. The Main Street area it’s located in is pretty walkable and nice, lots of stores to poke your head into.
Plenty of good casual eats.. Gus’s is an absolute must. Rendezvous is controversial but I think it’s a cool place full of kitsch, and I personally like dry rub. If you’re in Memphis for the first time you have to go.
Memphis is a great dive bar city. Alex’s Tavern near Rhodes College is a classic. Mollie Fontaine Lounge is a great cocktail bar in a Victorian mansion.
Downtown is very walkable and plenty safe during the day. Walk along the river/bluff.
Peabody ducks are kind of a cliche but you should go and get a drink in the lobby.
Memphis has a pretty good zoo in the midtown neighborhood. Check it out and wrap it in with a trip to Bbq shop. Midtown is one of the better more interesting neighborhoods in Memphis.
There’s a nice new hotel rooftop cocktail bar in the cooper young area called Tiger and Peacock above the Memphian Hotel. Cooper Young is a stones throw from U of M. It’s a neat, kind of weird neighborhood.

He has had a great season. I was skeptical but he’s proved himself.

What a fricking hit
Moreau was a complete non factor all season, I wish MM had seen more reps prior to this. Better late than never

Yall throw that word around so loosely. He is a decent young rim protector, far from elite and definitely not worth the return you just suggested. A team only makes a move like that if they're ready to contend and we're not there yet.
Agreed 1000 percent on Kessler.

why is that? there is a legitimate need for pain management, not the pharmaceutical industry's fault that individuals abuse them
Hey dumbfrick, the pharma companies fabricated studies to lie about how addictive their drugs were. Oxy was falsely and deliberately marketed as not addictive. Purdue Pharma pled guilty to fraud and criminal conspiracy.

Not to take away from the team’s progress and momentum, but his minutes have steadily decreased and he was DNP for the last two games. Queen is obviously taking his minutes but is it time to write him off? SI has blurb article about how he’s trade bait although I don’t know what if any value he is. He showed promise last year but has been completely inconsequential in his minutes this year. If we’re already giving up on him, what a shitty pick.
Marigny proper … Elysian Bar for a nice dinner and cocktails. Beautiful space.
Budsi’s Thai is amazing.
Not technically Marigny but since You’re basically in bywater .. Paladar 511 is a top 10 in the city.
Pizza delicious for casual.

Imagine actually getting upset over this. Good lord.
Also her game is actually pretty good for her size. She’s certainly more talented than angel Reese.

Does anyone else get the sense this took Landry by total surprise and now he’s freaking out about the prospect of being shipped off to the Arctic.
