Muh coup! Muh bio labs ! Iran is are friend !

The lengths you people go through to not blame Vladimir Putin is mind boggling to me. He’s the sole reason why the Ukraine War happened, period. Complete stupidity to say otherwise.
You’re wasting your time with a board full of fat arse neckbeards who willingly overlook that Russia and Iran are allies.
This board is full of BRICS lovers.

He was a full-on socialist for almost his entire life
He was a socialist insomuch as it was en vogue among academia in 1968 as it represented the opposition to Vietnam, etc . I don’t think he ever cared that much about economic theory and certainly never advocated any Marxist Leninism into adulthood. His socialist icons were Rosa Luxembourg and George Orwell, the latter of whom was not a Marxist at all, and unfortunately Leon Trotsky. His admiration for Trotsky, while misguided, was entirely based on him being some grand historical figure who opposed both Stalin and Hitler.
Hitch crossed the Rubicon officially after 9/11 but he was pretty much a neoliberal by the 1980s (per OchoDedos comment). He was an American citizen and recognized that life was good under capitalism. His only foray into socialism by this point was anti-militaristic foreign policy but even then it wasn’t couched in socialist terms.

The Office alluded to it a few times as well. Speaking of which, BJ Novak (Ryan Howard)’s dad was the ghost writer of Lee Iaococca’s autobiography. He was a professional ghost writer. Which is apparently the reason the Office threw in a couple odd/random in jokes about Lee Iacocca, and (his failed invention, the Delorean).

Was he? He was in N.O. the night of the murder. Fled to Oregon, where he blamed white people for tracking him down. Told the cops he was being fingered by a white woman for the crime. How did he even know that? How did he even know there was a murder back in N.O.? And why did he suspect cops were even after him? If he were innocent and all? And wasnt even at the crime scene? If some random murder happened in my town, why would I flee to another state shortly after? And correctly guess who the one witness was, and tell the arresting officers that I knew the cops were after me? And that since the shooter had gold teeth, I knew I was wrongly convicted because I was the one with gold teeth (btw, the witness was running away so she likely didnt know if the gold tooth guy was the shooter or not) And he still pled guilty to killing the guy (manslaughter). Why do that if you were "wrongly convicted"? I would just take the good news, and walk, me

Yes. Well worth the trip.

Do you have some personal tie to this guy’s case? Jeez
I don’t believe that people should be wrongfully convicted? Deep shite huh.his story and what he has accomplished is very impressive. He honestly sounds smarter than your average Orleans elected official.
I don’t care about the consolidation issue outside of that.

That's the problem with consuming info from ISW or Kiev Dependent. They're having a massive manpower shortage, each body exchange with Russia is 40 Russian dead for 1000 dead Ukrainians. Ukrine's "offenseive" netted negative gains for Feb-March somehow. Russia is pounding them with 100s of drones and missiles daily, Zelensky wrote a decree a week ago barring 18-22 year old from leaving the county. He's constantly asking to return the refugees. Their forced mobilization problem is spiraling out of control.
Are you one of those mouthbreathers who believed Russia only lost 18k and Ukraine lost 800k? Apparently, yes.
The battle lines have barely moved in 3 years. No one has “won” but Ukraine has maintained the vast majority of its territory. Russias goals entering “glorious special military operation” were maximalist. Ie, Kiev and regime change. It has failed miserably.
Sorry, I just saw the rest of your word vomit stream of conscious posts. I’m not sure if it’s possible for you to cope harder, but you can try.

quote:He was released because he was factually innocent and the state knew it. When arrested in Oregon he was recorded to have said the only reason he was being arrested because the eyewitness was a white woman quote:He was asked about his earlier statement that he knew the female witness to the shooting was white, he was quoted in Reed’s report as saying that “it had to be a white woman or else they wouldn’t have kept working on the case" The only way he would have known that fact was he had to have been at the murder site. He indeed pled guilty to manslaughter. That is not being exonerated * CrimeStoppers segment re-enacted the crime and a reward was offered. They received a single tip naming Calvin Duncan. * A caller claiming to be Duncan’s girlfriend reported that he was living in Oregon. * Two Oregon police officers testified that Mr. Duncan had spontaneously provided details of the crime that were unknown to them. *The gunman was noted to have gold teeth. Mr. Duncan, at the time had gold teeth.
Good. I’m glad you think he’s guilty and got off. I take pleasure knowing it upsets you.

quote:an exonerated Black man Didnt he accept a plea deal? How does that exonerate him? Plea deals are an admission of guilt, are they not? quote:Duncan pled guilty to manslaughter and attempted armed robbery in exchange for being released after time served Why Yes. Yes he did
He was released because he was factually innocent and the state knew it. Otherwise they wouldn’t have fricking released him at all, plain and simple. The plea aspect was basically a glorified Alford plea to keep him from suing in turn for being released. I know that it keeps you up at night that he’s free.

Why did they have an election for a position they were going to eliminate? Im genuinely asking because im ignorant with alot of these things.
They weren’t planning on eliminating it until Duncan won. Fact.
